Character copied over from live realm, made a few changes to gear, added splinters, teleported to proving grounds and noticed the splinters were gone. The ones I socketed plus the ones in my inventory.
I went back to town, grabbed another new set of them from Mrak, slotted them, ported into the Pit, finished it, noticed they were all gone yet again! Socketed and inventory.
What gives? lol.

I had this happen aswell
I had imported characters .
I just tried with a Rebirth char , TP to Temis and Splinters slotted in, this time Stayed
TP to Training ground , no problems , nothing vanished from Inventory or Stash
your problem might be based upon the fact, that splinters are considered a seasonal thing. once you copy your characters from live, they will be put to the eternal realm. so no splinters for those.
I’d say that is the correct thought process , as now looking at char select screen Imported characters have the Eternal Tag.
The Rebirth character now has a Seasonal Tag.
logging in and out a few times , Items have not vanished.
