Been playing sense early access launch and have not been able to talk in clan chat keep getting the message “There was a problem sending a chat message to your clan” Tried leaving and re joining, signing in and out of battle.net, anything i could think of, nothing works. Any info would be great
They may need to elevate you manually to “member” rank. I think. There may be a time limit before you can use some clan features otherwise.
I haven’t explored it much yet to be honest.

I am in the same position here, and cannot get it working. Everyone in my clan reports the same: “There was a problem sending a chat message to your clan”
More and more players, that cant chat…, as far as I know, no tech solution for this, for now:
I’m also running into this issue. I’ve tried reinstalling the game, as well as removing and adding a security authenticator, but no dice. Very frustrating.
Edit: I had to go into parental controls / privacy & communications settings and enable text to “Anybody”. This seemed to be what fixed the issue, although I’m not really certain.

GUYS! I solved my issue, i hope that will solve yours too.
Go into your bnet settings, into the “Privacy & Communication” settings.
Click on “Update” into the “Social Settings”, and check if “Battle.net Groups” is correctly enable. If not, just click on the check.
You may have to restart the game for the setting to be updated.
Please, keep me informed if it worked for you.

It’s broken for me aswell WTF
I’ve followed the instruction to clean both the folders and try with authenticator, still no clan function lol
I can see my/other people progress in the chat, but can’t see when they talk.
THis is either some stupid bug or on our side, because it doesn’t affect everyone.
Some insight from a Dev could clear things and make gather info easyer
I cannot chat in clan either. I tried changing the settings in bnet as suggested by earlier ppl but the problem is still there. I can chat in party … Just not clan. I don’t see any clan messages either . Makes being in a clan pointless if you cannot coordinate
same, pretty sad this key feature still isn’t fixed this far into launch
For those still having the issue, we had several people in our clan with this problem and finally have been able to solve it (for this specific case).
- Go to account[dot]battle[dot]net and login with your account (sorry won’t let me post links).
- Click the “Privacy & Communication” tab
- Make sure “Battle.net Groups” is ENABLED (If it is for you, this fix won’t work)
- If it’s not enabled enable it.
- Leave clan and have someone re-add you
After that it worked for 4 of our members.
