Cannot invite players to party - 'No player to invite'

I can’t invite most players to join a party, it says ‘No player to invite’. I have cross platform enabled. Any ideas please?

is the person on a different platform, and do THEY have cross platform enabled?
are you both on the same realm? hardcore/softcore/eternal/season

Thanks for the reply. I’m referring to random players outside boss dungeons etc. rather than specific friends.

Seen the same thing - could be 1 of several things - I think.

Crossplay may not be enabled for you or for them - if one of you has it off, you cannot hook up.

They may also be in a party already, so they are ‘off the market’ as it were.

I’ve seen this several times in boss encounters and Legions, and it is what it is.

I don’t believe they will be in the same instance if that is the case.

usually they are in a party already. =) happenns a lot in legions events ^^

Happen with some of my friends and clan members, too. It’s a little frustrating. At least the game should tell me why I can’t invite them to party.

  • They don’t have Playstation+
  • They haven’t updated Battlenet
  • They are in party
  • They don’t activate Cross-Network Play
  • They are at the character select screen

some times its just “buggy” and reloggin to character screen lets it work when you log back in.

It is bugged as hell and Bliz* don’t want or know how to debug it. I am just standing at Legion start, people cannot invite me and I cannot invite them. I’m getting some Error code in the game. Perhpas I’m more lucky, since they don’t get the error at all. Their party has 2 members. I am alone.
Restart of the game ended up by game failing to login on another error code.

I’m seeing this as well. I did five full legion events and at no time was I ever able to invite anyone to a party. You can’t tell me that no one else in any of those events was playing on a PC.

There is a chance that who ever you are trying to invite may be in a party already. I think they may have to Invite You.

I’ve been the first one to show up in all but one of the legion events I did. I tried to invite each other player as they showed up but always saw the “no player to invite” message.

You (or they) may have to reboot the game? ? But that would be pointless in itself. The same issue happens when I try to invite people who are already on my friend list.
