Hi, is anyone able to invite friends to their party? It says we have different versions but we have the same.

Having the same issue, two of us on PC, one on XBox… all at the latest version.

Same issue, both on PC. I can invite some friends but not my bf sitting on the pc beside me playing in the same house. We thought there would be a certain point in the story where it finally let us, but we are passed the first town and village, can see and invite everyone else on our friend’s list but not each other. Dunno what’s going on. It says ’ Different version of Diablo 4 cannot play together’. But we’re both pc so no idea.

Same here. Two pc same house, can’t join each other. Says different versions. Too bad. At least we can play solo. Not as fun though.

Same thing is going on with me and my friend right now. We just did a total internet and pc restart to see, but now in a 45 minute queue again.

I can’t invite my husband who is also on a PC. It tells me I can’t invite him because we are on different versions. I looked to see if we’re on the same server / Veteran status. We also checked game versions on the launcher and we are the same. I can invite local people around me, but not my husband. I don’t understand this, I should be able to group with him.

Same here, a buddy and I can’t invite each other, but we can both invite a friend that is afk at the moment. We are going to try and have him invite both of us when he’s back.

I wish we had a third person in our party just for this reason, so we could at least group up that way and then usually everything is fine.
Heck I even made a clan and added my friend, everything worked like it was supposed too, but still saying versions do not match (and we also checked the battle.net launcher for the actual version number and they were exactly the same)
We just did a full reboot of IP and PC, going to see if that helps anything, I’ll update this thread with results, you know after the 45 minute queue is over (again).

We tried a hard reset and re-queued. Didn’t fix ours, I hope it does for y’all!

The certain point is right when the horse dies At 9am PST got it, my buddy and I could join right way before the first mob was encountered. Then the first crash happened that booted everyone and we haven’t been able to play together since.

We quit and re-queued. Fixed it for us, at least he could invite me, but I couldn’t invite him. Did one area to first boss and kicked me out and wont let me join him again

Same issue here. My wife and I play from the same network, both on PC, same editions, same world tier, even same start times in terms of when we clicked “play” from the launcher and we are having this issue as well. She can see friends list and me but can’t invite me because of “different versions” issue. Seemingly no rhyme or reason to it. 95 minute que just to exit the game for a scan and repair into a 100 minute que before I hit an enemy.

So my buddy and I have been dealing with the same issue. A 3rd friend got on and I invited him to my party, then the first buddy joined off of him. Just a work around if anyone is able to utilize it.
For me, I got into the game first , and my friends got on a bit later. They were able to join with each other but I could not join with them. I left and went through the queue again after checking for updates and verifying we were the same version number. After that I was able to join them. Not sure since you are all saying all of you had disconnected to check, but it went from not working to working for me by getting offline then going through the queue after checking for updates.
Same here, three of us were unable to invite to party but could join random players in town. Game stated we had different versions but we verified we had the same version.
We both recently got DC at roughly the same time completing the same relic to altar mission and have 30 mins left in queue before we can try again.
Had the same issue, kept saying all were offline. Even established a clan to give us a central point and despite whispers and clan invites working, still said all clan members were offline.
Still waiting on a blue post… Wake up blizzard, we ha e paid hundreds of dollars for this game and you can’t even respond?
