Hit “S” to bring up Skills/Weapons menu, hover over Whirlwind, middle mouse click to Cycle through weapons, nothing changes. Tried every other mouse button, nothing changes the weapon cycling, been like this since day one. Managed to change Lunging Strike to use Dual-wield yesterday, don’t know how exactly, but it won’t do it again no matter how many times I mash the MMB. Tried uninstalling Logitech G HUB and going with Microsoft generics drivers, no change. Cannot assign a 2H Sword to Whirlwind, making my Barb’s life miserable.

The main problem is that Logitech Mouse has a well-known disease with MMB…
at some point, the MMB no longer works, it’s mechanical and I’ve always had this problem on mouse of this brand …
On the other hand, I can’t find any way on diablo to reconfigure the weapon change on the barbarian’s skills

Well, whadda 'ya know, that was the problem. Swapped in an old Dell mouse and presto change’o, weapon cycling works. Went back to the Logitech mouse for game play as the Dell doesn’t have high DPI. Weird, never had a mouse have mechanical failure like that before, time for a new high DPI mouse.

Same issue, same fix. Try a different mouse if this is jacking you up.
Also, mine wasn’t a mechanical issue with the Logitech mouse. It is Logitech, but the middle mouse still obviously works in other games. Just not this one. I had a similar issue in Elden Ring but I cleared that up with the Logitech macro program.
I think it is a mouse software issue.

Razer Deathadder here. Everything worked fine until today.
Worked around by assigning Universal Scroll Button to another Button on my mouse. Although it´s the same function, it works on the assigned button but not on the mouse wheel.

I have the same issue using a Logitech G502 mouse… However I want there to be a key binding option for us with no other mouse to switch to. Srsly Blizzard! Do something!

Another Logitech user here (G Pro)… I’ve ben struggling a copule of days, then found this topic. It’s quite incredible Blizzard missed the option to change the damned MMB to whatever other key… I mean, I always assign ALT+F4 to all my Logitech mice, but even if I disable the association within GHub, nothing changes …

I was going crazy about this.
Logitech mouse sensei; this worked for me, press the assigned button and scroll down while its pressed down. It started cycle weapons for me. Hope this works!
same issue here…hope they fix it soon cant level my mf 2h sword…
Finally got the solution.
- Launch GHub and set “none” to MMB binding
- in D4 first press S, then hover the skill and MMB works.

Don’t work. MMB Binding in GHub deactivate, but i cant change weapon. I take older Microosft Mouse, same problem…this s****
I found a workaround after testing a different mouse which also did not work.
Drag a skill from your tech tree on top of the non working skill slot and that did it for me.
I wanted to use lunging strike with 1h sword but was not able to change it.
I removed one skill point to get frenzy. I drag and dropped frenzy on top of lunging strike and was able to change the weapon. I then dragged lunging strike back on that skill slot and was able to change the weapon this time by clicking on the middle mouse button.
Another workaround is you plug in a controller, in my case an xbox controller. press “S” on the keyboard and you then can use the controller to cycle weapons.

Logitech G402 with G-Hub, same issue here.
Software issue : On G-Hub, Go to Mouse / Button affectation / System and drag the G3 MMB to another unused button. It can be assigned to both Wheel button and another button at the same time. Worked for me, hope it helps.

i am having the same problem on my mouse - steelseries aerox9. but after fiddling with settings i still couldnt figure it out, then it dawned on me “try pressing the button rather than scrolling it” and it worked.
i have noticed though when i camera zoom in or out it only goes all the way out or all the way in.
Well, i had it working…
in Logitech Mouse (Logitech Assistant) soft, i had to bind the legacy action of central clic to one of my mouse key (G6 key - i have a G602) to the action “Clic Central (bouton 3)” , don’t know in English but you will find… And whenever i clic G6 in game , skills tree : it works !! not thanks to blizzard…
have the same problem with a razer deathadder only work around i found is to completely remove my 2 handed mace. really sucks but it forces the game to put the 2 handed sword in for ww and lung. Hope they fix this crap
Same issue with a Razer Abyssus v2. Mouse works fine in any other game but I cannot manage to resolve this issue here. Why a so vital function cannot be changed and cannot be achieved in any other way? Ridicoli.
Logitech mouse here, same issue. i think this fix can be used by all mouse…go into you mouse button assignment options, set middle button to a actual button instead of the scroll wheel.
