Cannot connect (code 1 // code 1016)

Had problems connecting for several days, specificially with:

  • Code 1
  • Code 1016
  • Constant spinning wheel "Reconnecting to Diablo IV

Read up on these and did the following:

  • Power cycled my router
  • Disabled TCP/IPv6
  • Re-installed Battle.net app and deleted all previous Battle.net folders
  • Ran the D4 scan and repair tool

After these steps, I had a completely normal play session of about an hour, no problems.

Next day, same issues as before, cannot connect to the server.

Any help or ideas?
