Will you be able to play this game offline? I’m not really interested in meeting other players in this game. Don’t really feel the need for everything to always be social.

No you cannot play offline, and most of us cant play online either due to server issues…save your money bro

No. Blizz doesn’t do offline games anymore because of piracy reasons. When they rolled out the battle.net launcher client that pretty much put an end to anything being offline.

The beta weekends are extended stress tests for the servers and tech issues. This weekend is FREE and is not the official game launch. Having trouble getting in now is to be expected. If there are still issues at launch it will be something worth griping about.
If we cannot get on to find issues then yes said issues cannot be fixed. Dont confuse me with being pro-offline play, just amused at the absurdity and idiocy of forced online play if you cannot accommodate it
Except D3 never had a demo to play before release.
Server issues are to be expected… it’s the first day so login queues will cause some stress for those wanting to play… beta or not any major title since ever had issues on launch.

Testing the log-in servers is part of this, hence people having issues getting on line.

Guess you missed last weekend, its day 4 and they still cant get it right
this is worse compared to EA beta lol keep dcing every 15-30 mins 
No I didn’t miss the last weekend. I bought the ultimate edition.
First day had 60-70 minute logins until roughly ~10PM PST, afterwards there were barely any login queuing issues. Same will happen with the open beta once everyone gets a taste.

No, it’s the same servers, same cloud services, nothing has changed to show any improvement over last weekend. Both are public betas, day 4.
Yes it did. You could play up to level 13 and the Skeleton King quest. That was the Beta and later the free Demo after release.

Blizzard doesn’t make offline games anymore, it’s the main reason why they get so much flack I think. Everything’s an online only mess. They have a large chunk of their ‘fan base’ that prefers PC offline play & they keep making everything online & doing a bad job on top of it. D3 multiplayer is plain terrible & D4 isn’t looking any better, server problems aside.

Not even console will be allowed to play Diablo 4 offline. You can pirate Diablo 3 on consoles/emulator after all and they don’t want that. So all forced online we go.
