Look. I understand you want my money, and I’m happy to show support. But at a logical level, I want to be able to buy some cosmetics separate from bundles.
I’d more often give you my money willingly if I could more personally choose the items to buy. I understand the marketing nature of bundles, but… maybe it’s just me: I would spend as much as a bundle cost on a couple less items were I able to pick and choose 4-5 specific items I really wanted, over a bundle of 8 items where I only liked 2 of the items included.
Current example I’m running into: the big rogue bundle has some weapon cosmetics, but only for daggers, while there is a barbarian bundle with a nice sword cosmetic (which alternatively is usable by a rogue).
I main rogue and would really love this sword cosmetic, but as it stands I’ll have to shell out for the 2600 plat barbarian bundle to obtain it, and be left with 7 other items I probably won’t really use.
It would be great and still money grabby if you just charged like 300 plat for a weapon cosmetic and sold them separately (still discounted in bundles). This would still force people to buy extra plat (and twofold because 200 plat isn’t enough for one, and 500 plat still leaves you only 200 needing to buy more for a second cosmetic).
Anyways. End of rant.
Gonna go spend $30 for this 1 weapon cosmetic now.
PS. release some more flashy/animated weapons with either moving parts or glowy bits.

Saying you’re gonna go spend the $30 for the weapon skin made the entire rest of your post pointless.
They got your money. They win.
But I agree, I’d like cheaper prices and the ability to purchase separate skins. Otherwise I will NOT be spending $30 to get anything.
How does it make it pointless? The ideology behind my post is still valid. But can I realistically expect them to see this post and make the change in the next couple hours? (And I guess ultimately, would a change like this ever come?) So what choice do I personally have other than to buy it to acquire it, lol. I still thought to myself while considering it, ‘how many players can actually justify $30 for one item forced into a bundle purchase?’ I also spent many years in Path of Exile, where don’t even get me started on their like $100 armor sets. But that’s a different discussion.
Fortunately I have disposable income for such a purchase like this, but I wholeheartedly feel and advocate for those that would never be able to justify such a purchase. Which, to me, is why changes like this should be made. I used to be in such a situation where I’d want to buy a cool shop item but can’t afford a bundle, and like who wants a death animation anyways? And even on the note that I can afford it, it would be nice to be able to spend that $30 more intuitively and personalized. Like I would drop $15 if I could grab the 1h swords from the Wraith Lord bundle and the Bathed in Blood bundle.
But I guess that’s the ultimate trap behind the marketing… since I’m tempted to buy $60 worth of bundles for 2 items. It just feels horrible to consider. It’s safe to say though, that a bundle should be designed for those interested in the entirety of it.
Whales can still whale and buy whatever, but the fixed/low income player who ALREADY spent near $100 to get into the game in the first place, could have a chance to grab 1 or 2 small things closer to the price of a coffee or two if such a system were considered.
Also annoying: there aren’t any choices under 800 platinum, at least currently. I’m not sure the whole list of options that rotate through… but I doubt there are cheaper items.
Don’t fret man…
It would be nice to have the pieces broken up a bit, or options to purchase individually.
Sadly Blizzard likely won’t do it. They see games like warthunder costing $80 for 1 tank/airplane, or path of exile costing $100 for a set of armor. Their $30 price tag isn’t nearly as bad, although their offerings are pathetically out of touch.
we’ll see how it goes, going forward.
For me, they need to ditch this pathetic skirted prince of Persia theme they got going on and return us to real trope esq armor themes and id buy one for each class…

If everyone had some self-control (yes, even those with plenty of disposable income) then the chances of changes to benefit the players would be higher. But as long as there are people dropping $30+ on bundles they’ll never change.
So basically they will never change the shop and I expect to never get anything from it because even with disposable income, I can’t justify the prices in a PAID game.
The shop is like a place holder from what I have read. They need to just Follow POE on this one. Their shop is simple.
HAHAHAHAHA! This guy is buying a D4 cosmetic. Oh man what a nice laugh for the evening.
