maybe this is for beta only but I don’t like how the world boss had set time to spawn. I would like them to either change it to spawning every hour or add a way manually summon it. if people are worry about this being to strong put a cooldown on the drops and not the boss. this way people can still fight the boss for fun or to help out and the people who haven’t beat it yet get more chances.
what are your thoughts on this?

Please do that at this point there is nothing to do in the game, lv 25 did everything what was possible to get , cant play anymore as there is nothing just make the world boss spawn often every 2 hours or so , so people can enjoy some
No manual way to summon, that only means top tier will abuse bosses. It’s fine as it is. Also I don’t want it spawning too often, not sure how many times a day it spawns, but once or twice is fine.

I’m hoping that they just did it this way for beta and that they will spawn randomly on release.
Randomly is not good, people that don’t play much (like me) simply won’t be able to farm them.

I don’t think their meant to be farmed. On that same token though, if they have set times and never change, that still locks people out that work during those times or have family obligations.

I think the current way is pretty good. You have lots of notice of the event. You have plenty of time to get there.
I also like that it’s random. You don’t have all the spawn campers crushing it in 5 seconds.
It really feels like an event.
Not trying to upset people but if they did world bosses like they do in WoW where they spawn every X hours but you can only recieve loot once a day/week would be ideal, you make the bosses accessable to everyone regardless of region or real life schedule but still make it so they won’t be loot pinata’s for those that have no real life.

Id love the idea that the boss encounter is actually collectively farmed between all players in the current map. Figure this: For every X dungeons completed accross the map or every X thousand enemies killed, the boss meter goes up untill it reaches a point where summoning is possible.
It could even combine this with a time mechanic, where the boss could be automatically spawned every X hours if the goals weren’t met or sooner if the goals were achieved. In order to avoid people abusing the system, there could also be a minimum time between apperances or allowing the meter to overflow, meaning a stronger version of the boss would spawn.
There are definetly better ways to go about boss encounters then a set timer on the week.

No idea what they plan to do timing wise on live.
I don’t think the bosses are interesting enough that I want to have to stop what I’m doing and go to them every time they’re up, so I think it’d be better to just have them spawn frequently, but give us a cache of items once a week per boss. Then you don’t have to plan your time around the spawning of something in a video game.
I really hate things like the events in WoW Dragonflight that spawn every couple hours or so. You either have to spend a lot of time standing around so you don’t miss it or have an addon or something warn you closer to the exact time and drop what you’re doing and rush over. Standing around waiting for spawns is the absolute worst way to design your game and make people get bored of it. Rare spawns and events in WoW are just terrible in Dragonflight. World of Waitingcraft memes returning in new ways.
TLDR: give us a weekly cache full of items and put the bosses on a 1 hour spawn at most, boss can drop a smaller number of items maybe for people who really enjoy them and want to go to them more frequently
What they should do is put it on an odd number of hours counter so it will eventually show up at every hour of the day either during the week or during the month. Not everyone can get on at certain times and if the WB timer is always on at that time they miss out. If it is an odd number of hours like every 23hrs it will be 10am day1, 9am day2, 8am day3, etc. until it comes full circle.
They could also do like they do with the black dragonflight in WoW where you collect keys (?) and the entire server group contributes to it. So as you assemble said key type item you deliver it a certain NPC/area/interactable and after the total number hits the mark the boss spawns. Could be collect 1,000 blood carcases and toss them in this hole. after the thousandth carcass is dropped in it explodes from the ground and the fight is on or some other such thing.
There are quite a few ways to go about summoning a WB. Could even be some very rare drop puzzle pieces that you bring to a statue and when all the pieces are found the stone explodes/melts away and this creature is released. Or some item you strap to your back and have to carry it across the map while more and more enemies swarm you trying to stop you from getting it to its location and you need the community to help protect you. So on and so forth.
EDIT: Never did kill the WB or even see it. 
this why I bring it up because if we don’t talk about they keep it the same.

Definitely think there should be more spawns; 4 total spawns on the second day, when many players haven’t had a chance to level their character yet isn’t enough.
But although I’d like to see far more world boss spawns, I do think it should be on a schedule rather than triggered or random so that as many people as possible participate for a huge battle.
I think it would be better if there was some kind of group event to spawn it, that would have like multiple phases and each time an objective is complete it would be signaled to the whole region to let people know what’s going on and give them time to get there if interested.
I think the hours we got for world boss spawn was just for beta. I’m sure like other games D4 world boss spawn will have constant reoccuring spawn timers, we just dont know if it will be every 4 hours or 6 or 12. We just have to wait and see.

I would also like a more organic way of letting you know there is a world boss in the game. Having it just show up occasionally at random, and then having NPCs in town telling rumors about how something terrible is happening somewhere in the world or something that feels more immersive.

There are going to be multiple world bosses. And there probably will most likely be multiple ways for them to spawn. Some might have conditions, some might be on a fixed timer, some might be random. Etc.
I Hope they have multiple ways.

the way it is now will not allow a lot people to fight it. i believe it spawn 4 times on sat and 1 time on Sunday. what wrong with it spawning every hour but you only get rewards every 6,12,or 24 hours.
Just let him respawn after he dies but put a lock into how many times u can donit a day or time limitt to get the loot. Would be easy to implement put loot in box u can open it as long as u did not open it to the se standard
When I read the title I thought this thread would be about something different. The thing I don’t like about the world boss spawn is that it basically creates an instance at the time of the spawn for a raid of 12 people. So if you were a little late and missed the spawn other people would be in that raid and you could not join them. It was not like you could just join in if you were late. Me and a bunch of other people found that out standing in an empty area less than a minute after the boss spawned for others. Or like another time this weekend when I got DCd and tried to log back in quickly but I was no longer in that raid anymore and could not rejoin. Luckily those were two of the earlier times and I was able to finish the boss on my third try. Why is a world boss spawn turned into a raid instance? You may as well just turn it into an actual raid dungeon that can only be done once a week or something instead.
