Seriously, more budget should go into playtesting, how come a few streamers manage to break the game every season and your playtest team fails so hard for 1 years and a half.
They are still at t1, and where they should be. Then they will improve in s8 builds that some ways can’t reach t3. Razor wings will receive a 10% buff.
If you’re not volunteering I don’t want to hear it.
The D4 play testers are all of us who play. And that’s it!
We even PAY to test the game!!!
Not the other way around…
So you want to get rid of all of the players of the game? You do realize we’re the playtesters, right?
They should pay them commission for how well they test the game. Play testers for this game would be like the fallen shaman. Loved and protected by the other fallen.
I’m speaking as though they don’t already exist because they don’t.
Why? They can just do a ptr and get people to do it for free and not fix any of the problems lol
tbf the problem isnt finding bugs…it’s fixing them which playtesters will not help with.
WE are the testers lol.
free labor ftw.
I doubt they have a testing team, could be one guy do all the seasonal programming and testing. Many of the bugs are easily detectable if they just test every new feature and gears they introduce in the season.
The Disable Damage Variance feature in the training room is one of the new feature the dev introduced in the game without testing. It does not work at all, the dev took no action even it was reported in the PTR.
Excuse me?
Am I reading what you are saying correctly?
A new team of play testers?
Are you joking?
Are you serious?
A new team…
How can there be a new team when I don’t even think there is an old team.
Look at issues like the HDR problems on consoles. Simply LAUNCHING the game would’ve made the problem obvious. So it looks like they don’t even do the bare minimum of testing on consoles. The only testing is the dev doing a quick play test of the new whatever and if it runs at all it’s “tested”.
Edit: I sort of understand their situation from a purely “money is everything” perspective. Testing is expensive and never catches everything. The standard quip about goes something like, the first 80% of bugs take half of the time, the last 20% takes the twice as long. Blizzard has made the decision they’ll never fix all the bugs so why bother? Just fix enough that the game runs well enough they can keep the MTX shop open. It was funny last season when the DLSS bug even broke that.
