I startrd as a sorcerrer and went thtough the campain bit too fast just so i could start another character with wt3. Sadly this is not possible so now im trying to figure out an interesting class and build to start over again. I felt that the sorcerrer was very interesting as i had to be quite careful or else i would get killed. And use long range, melee range, aoe and protective magic with teleportation.
Now if you could reccomend a fun and interesting non op build. Think of it this way, you could come up with an interesting and quite unique way to play and build the character but you dont because it kind a sucks. So interesting unique way to play and it can be a challence and be hard to level up in wt2.
Sorry for my english
Trap rogue, sounds like an odd build, but there’s clearly viable options. And I don’t mean Twisting Blades or Barrage with a trap. I mean Caltrops, and as many traps as you can get.
Also, dual-shift druid. Both werebear and werewolf skills to utilize the dual shift bonuses.
Hope you find a good one, OP!

By far the most fun class of this game.

Druid is interesting, if you like Barb like characters with a twist, I would go with the Druid. I wasn’t expecting much from him, but as I got more into the game with the character, it has become more fun and unique.
If you want vaguely similar, then Necro Summoner. If you want very different then Rogue (any build, Twisting Blades is fun and again different).
And yeah, Druid is > Barb.
There is limited choice, and each choice is very predictable.
It would be nice if there was a few unusual choices, just for those who like to do something different for a change.
Traps with rogue sounds kind of interesting. I’ll give it a go
It wont really be that fun kiting around waiting on cooldowns.
My recent rogue was aoe flurry aspect with shadow and poison imbue, you could even put poison trap in there as well.
For such an iconic skill, frozen orb seems to be kinda slept on. I’d like to play it myself tbh. So that could be a cool project if you want to stick with sorc.
Trap Rogue, ignore Twisting Blades if you want to have fun. Another option would be a non-WW barb, but that requires items and might be a chore early on.
problem with frozen orb is how awkward it is to play it. they tried to keep the explosion on max distance like d2 had except it worked way better in that game with slower mobs and less zoom.
yea i’m hoping to see it get a rework or something if it needs it. i’m honestly not sure, but it seems like nobody uses it.
Any class besides barb.
Barb is probably the most boring class in the game. Spam 3 shounds, use core skill, use ultimate.
That is all you need to know to play barb.
Start of this trap rogue has been quite hilarious. I have one bow skill that knocks enemies down then frost caltrops and the poison trap. Its kinda fun to use caltrop to slow enemies down on my poison trap and everytime they try to get back up i knock em down again with my bow. Much fun tho. Might not be fun with bosses tho.
Why do people even make posts like this? Every response will be different answer, there will be arguments about it…in the end you could have just pulled a few youtube videos up, seen the build/class in action and make the call for yourself.
There are no interesting classes to play.
The combined talent/paragon board/itemization systems in place are fundamentally flawed when it comes to class design.
Every class/build feels like it’s playing by the same rules and player choice is extremely limited. I’m sure blizzard will just nerf everything that’s too good though and further homogeneous the game in an attempt to bring everything towards the middle.
Interesting classes if youve never played an ARPG before. Otherwise its the same old skills and builds weve been playing since D2 more or less. Not even interesting twists imo.
Well im very sorry that i asked. Im sorry i didnt go to youtube. I vaguely remember playing diablo 20years ago. I dont generaly play games like this and thought the game forum would be a place to ask questions and perhaps get help or just to discuss the game.
Game is starting to get super boring because it’s very meta. I didn’t spend over $90 to follow other peoples builds. Sorc is so useless unless you go frost. No variety in anything everyone runs the same builds.
