Can the new flame shield enchantment prevent lethal damage?

What exactly does the nerfed flameshield enchantment do? I play hardcore so can’t exactly test it thoroughly

Before it would activate ON lethal damage, and prevent it, so you were guaranteed to survive for 2 seconds.

I understand they now did it so it activates after you accumulate 100% damage… so basically it wastefully activates at all sorts of times when you really don’t want it to (like the immune bubble aspect). But what happens if it’s not on cooldown and you take lethal/100% damage would it still prevent it to keep you alive or the damage would go right through and the shield will not activate?

I believe that the immune aspect let’s the damage go through first so it can’t save you from a 1shot. I guess the new flameshield enchant is the same? Thanks for clarification!

No answers for you, but i will shamelessly tack on an additional question: if enchant master paragon node is selected, does it reduce the timer or the life required?

As I understand it the enchant is trash but maybe an actual s4 sorc player will comment.

If it stops lethal damage it’s still good - just a lot less reliable because most of the time it will be on cooldown from random accrued damage unless you play perfectly.

If it doesn’t stop lethal damage then yeah it’s garbage and the immune bubble aspect is actually way better.

it doesn’t stop lethal damage. It stops damage after cumulative damage is over 100%. so if you take 50%, heal to 100%, then take another 50%, it will trigger. It will not trigger when you get to 0.
