Oh, man. Only a matter of time before the game devolves into paid carries and people looking to skip ahead rather than take on challenges themselves.
Keep leveling. Get more paragon points. Get better gear. Rethink your build.
Rethinking his build and playing better is the only real option; if he can’t kill a boss while leveling in the campaign, chances are it’ll only be harder after he levels up due to scaling.
Builds become more advanced later, but then we loop back to the whole build issue.
Meh, getting help to clear a hard boss is pretty standard. Let’s just be glad there’s no WoW token…atm.
Running instances and not getting decent results, getting one shot by this boss with the best gear I can scrape up. Yea, rethink my build… how about upping the drop rates from .07% for a decent piece of gear. Run for an hour doing blood storms just to get yellow crap out of boxes and same goes for whispering chests. When you DO get a legendary out of one it is tier 40 and I am 65. Yea… it’s the build. Some of us have lives and can’t spend weeks in game but yea… it’s our build.

When I killed Elias for the capstone it was a 58 without any farming whatsoever.
Perhaps your way of sorting through gear is wrong? This is absolutely not a matter of spending weeks.
D4 has a lot of endgame problems they need to fix, but finding decent items if you spam content you’re capable of doing is not one of them. Bad luck is one thing, but not knowing a decent item is another.
I do think enchanting fees to make an item better are way too expensive, though…
Terrible thing to say consider the game goes by scaling. The high they level up the harder the gameplay with be.
