how come barbs are the only class that can have more tempers and more aspects than any other class? theyre crushing gauntlet numbers other classes can only dream of, i need to know what exactly is the reasoning behind this
You’d have better luck trying to learn quantum physics then you would understanding how balance is supposed to work in this game.
for the record i’m not trying to be overly sarcastic with this thread (but i kinda can’t help it either). but i have yet someone explain the logic behind this to me. i mean it would make at least SOME sense to me if barbs had an overly inherent disadvantage that made it necessary to have multiple tempers and aspects for free. but its just not the case lol, not even close.
so as it stands right know they can just enjoy bigger power spikes than any of the other 4 classes (im excluding busted builds like zoomancer etc, talking in general). how the hell is everyone just accepting this
Ah the ole 4 weapons makes barns overpowered argument. People used to blame 4 weapons for hota hitting for billions. Now hota struggles to break a million and they did that without removing weapons. So the weapons aren’t the problem it’s the numbers and interaction with other things.
It was a daring exercise in non-symmetrical balance that they chose to take with the classes.
I hope that the new class for the expansion is also different from the rest in its loadout composition.
but heres the point u dont get tho: barbs will ALWAYS have more shots at “interaction with other things” due to this completely illogical imbalance in sheer aspect/temper possibilities. make it f**** make sense
funny enough tempers made the situation even worse - either u slap the nerf button or u bring up other classes to par. im kinda tired of juggling aspects and tempers while barbs are like “and another one :))))”. what kinda bs is that
Necros are doing pretty good this season. Should all classes get a horde of zombies to make this even? Or should we just accept that different classes have different abilities. How does a barb getting deeper into the pit effect you?
Didnt you watch any campfires from S1? Half are barbs. There’s your answer!
i dont really care about them getting deeper, thats not my point. i just want u to explain to me why barbs get to enjoy free tempers and aspects, while other classes cant. ive yet to hear ANY sound argument for this
Because that’s how the class works? How can sorcs get a shield that makes them immune to everything and I can’t? Again how does it affect you? Does a barb have more tempers somehow make you weaker? If it upsets you that much just play a barb.
tempers and aspects are a general class desing available to ALL classes. barbs just get to have A LOT more of them quantity wise for no real apparent reason.
you are talking about specific skills unique to classes. plz try to at least understand the issue BEFORE u write something
No I understand what you’re saying perfectly well. We have 1 more items to temper than rogues, 2 more than sorcs and druids or 3 more if they use a 2h.
But so what? What’s the issue with it? It doesn’t negatively impact other classes does it? It’s not like a barb logging in takes 10% of your damage away.
You’re asking me to make it make sense but you’ve failed to tell me why it doesn’t make sense apart from some unwarranted sense of unfairness going on.
Barbs are the single only broken class in this game since launch.
if u force something unbalanced onto players (tempers/aspects in quantity) u have to justify it or take measures to even out this imbalance. otherwise it is just lazy and unwarranted class design.
if other players have have a harder time to enjoy/beat the content provided, while others get literally sheit handed for free (again: for no apparent reason), this is a problem. like are u joking right now? how is this ok to you
thats assuming that the barbs are absolutely imbalanced right now, which i couldnt say they are.
currently the pit ladder looks pretty even.
The highest pit run I’ve seen so far has been 139 by a necro and they still had 5 mins to spare.
Your argument is it creates imbalance if that were the case barbs would be miles ahead of everyone. Even on maxrolls pit ladder the top 5 spots are 3 rogues and 2 barbs. That ladder isn’t everyone but the top 20 or so is a good mix of barbs rogues and necros.
So far you’re only argument doesn’t look like a valid one to me. Or if what you’re really saying is it’s easier for barbs to make their build then sure I’ll give you that. Some classes are definitely easier to make builds than others. Although some would argue that’s what makes the other classes more interesting.
the most fun thing here is “play your way” LMAO
It’s actually easier to make new char and level it to 100, then to find your bis gear to even compete with this naked lvl 100 char.
Literally play your way, but don’t forget to level barb or necro
barbs have a passive that gives you 9% hp back per 100 fury.
other classes need Life on hit stacking instead.
my rogue level80 can do pit 100 np with life on hit and stacking armor and resist my rogue has roughly 400 life on hit
Because our tempers, aspects, skills, and paragons all suck and continuously get nerfed even further. So things remained balanced because other classes have way better options in every category.
go take a look at gauntlet numbers then, barbarians are FAR ahead no other class can produce similar results rn.
pits are kinda deceiving in that way, cuz its more about “clear it no matter how and try to survive”. and its good to see that we have a relative balance here between classes. but if we switch to a “just go complete ham” gauntlet type of playstyle, barbarians just outclass everyone else number wise while all the other classes are more or less the same in that regard. so there IS in fact a drastic difference.
