I’m new to Diablo IV and just wanted to know if someone could give me some insight.
I see my character name in chat and on my clan page, but in brackets - I have the username from battlenet.
Just wanted to know if other people can see the “####” or if it’s just accessible by me?

They see your character name in game. And your clan tag if you have one…
Hold on let me validate what happens when they inspect you…Of course there is no one around now. You can set your profile to private under edit…but not sure if that hides your account name, just your gear for sure.
On the social page it has your
Account moniker
Character name
Does it show account for local non-frinds list people also?
I literally have 0 people in local. So can’t check,
Im not sure if privacy hides you from nearby social list or not. I dont have enough knowledge in that area to say exactly if you can keep from being listed or not.
Yeah same I never really cared about hiding my account name so did not notice if it did or not. But it would make sense if your account name shows on your friends list so you can tell who it is. While the other one is pretty generic.
