Can I use my battlnet copy of the game on steam if I link to steam?

I want to run my game via steam. I just linked my account, but it doesn’t recognize I have the base game. I bought the mid cost collectors edition. Is there a way to run it via steam without using non steam game?

you can launch the bnet version via steam. but it isnt the steam version of the game

If you bought it with Xbox and you are subscribed to Game Pass, you can install and play the game in your PC.

I’m able to verify this with the Battle.net account. I haven’t verified this via Steam. I run Battle.net app separate from Steam.

I’m using linux with the bnet version using non steam game. But I want to try it with steam installer without paying more money for a game I already payed for.

then your only option is to launch non steam game

Did you try installing the bnet version on the other PC instead of steam? I had been playing D4 on my PC using the Bnet version. I don’t see any issues at all.

I only have 1 PC. It’s linux because it’s a DDR3 system. I was playing when the game started in season 1 on this computer with linux.

I changed the pref file to adapter “1” and that got past the no gpu error. But now I have to troubleshoot the crash window issue. Haven’t gotten around to it yet. Hopefully it will work.
