Can i go back to eternal realm and not lose seasonal character

i was going to help my friend level up in eternal realm so he can join us in the season quicker. but when i click on my eternal characters it says i need to make a new character to play the seasonal realm. so does it delete my seasonal character i have now and i need to make a new one as that how it reads to me and not losing 94 levels

I am sorry but my patience has worn thin. Why can’t people google “diablo 4 will I lose my seasonal character” instead of making a new post with this every single flipping day? Have people just entirely forgotten how internet searches work or something?

No, you will not lose your seasonal character if you play eternal. The game never auto deletes a character.

However, there is really no reason for your friend to play on Eternal. He can do the campaign in the season.

Just make sure knows if he makes a season character , that it eventually goes to eternal and they delete the good stuff

thank for answers i tried googling and all it tells you is your seasonal characters get sent to eternal realm after season why i asked here

He doesn’t need to start in eternal though. He can enjoy the story with a seasonal char straight of the bat. Only after the story the actual season part kicks in.

But seasonal characters can’t join eternal realm and visa versa. You don’t lose your character, they’re just on different realms.

you need to do the story before you can join the season realm first and its his first character

I think you understood that wrong. Your very 1st character can be on the season realm. But you’d have to complete the story 1st before the seasonal activities become available. Someone who completed the story on eternal just has the option to skip the story when they make a seasonal char.

But your very 1st char can be a seasonal one!

thanks i thought you had to do it in the eternal but he is not going to use the battle pass this late so was doing it this way so can take time on story but thanks for that i did not realise it
