Subject says it all. E.G. - Does only the initial casting of Firewall have a chance to lucky hit, or does the continuous damage also have a chance?
I believe every tick has a chance to proc a lucky hit, but the chance is somehow prorated over the duration of the spell; don’t expect each tick to have the full tooltip lucky hit chance value. Maxroll says it’s about 10% per tick.
Not sure about the auto proc … but you can put firewall and meteor in enchantement, and rhe two spell can proc each other indefinitly
Look at the skill in the skill tree and find the parameter called lucky hit. That will tell you the rate at which the burn from FW or FS will trigger a lucky hit.
So FW lucky hit is 50% and you need to multiply that by the triggering source. Lets assume source is Xfals which also has a lucky hit at 50%. So your lucky hit is 50% * 50% = 25% over the length of the firewall (as opposed to 25% per tick).
Will your enemy willingly hang out in your firewall for the full 10(?) seconds of the firewall? In PVE yes, so you can stop there at 25% lucky hit. In pvp, probably not so that is why you should count how many ticks there are per firewall to determine the per tick lucky hit. Note you get 3 extra ticks of burn with the child-skill of FW so youll need to consider that in your math.
Here is a general guide on lucky hit and it also considers +lucky hit from your equipment.

Can you relabel the subject of your post so that it can easily be googled / searched? This is a common question that is asked over and over in different ways but people cant find the posts because they are missing key words. It should read, ‘can damage over time (dot) trigger lucky hit’ or ‘damage over time (dot) lucky hit calculation’.
I have personally responded to it a few times.
Thanks! I’ve edited the subject line to use better keywords.
