This makes sense as T2-4 are not necessary

I like this philosophy.

lets be honest here having torment 1-4 is just a way for blizzard to deal with the inability to balance out the classes. They are not able to make 1 difficulty for all as that would mean all classes are balanced.

Damn that new battle mad aspect is nice.

weird, all 5 classes do fine in t4. just the spiritborn that also rushed pit 150 easily.

Find a game with unique classes and perfect or near perfect balance.

I am also good with this policy but it has to be consistently applied and not only when it’s convenient for certain folks in certain seasons.

diablo 3 vanilla was pretty solid on balancing

the basilisk item prog is showing already a huge flaw. You ahve a weapon that does 400-700 dmg and there is a prog on it with 6500 dmg. That is rounabout 15 times the dmg of the weapon…

Who comes up with these ideas

Please tell me this is not true, or is this sarcasm

Should just cap rewards at Torment 3 and Pit 50-100 somewhere. Make anything above for the challenge itself.
Matters less then if they fail to balance some interaction (albeit they still should be so much better at not failing repeatedly).

Yeah, they really never learn. Failing on purpose. Then pretending it was unintended on their next campfire chat.

Yeah, I don’t mind the “no nerf” part. SB is broken due to glitches/bug/unintended interactions, and it will stay that way. I just wish they would buff the MANY underperforming Spiritiborn skills.

We’re kinda forced into the Quill Volley build due to how big the damage difference is compared to most other skills (anywhere between x5 and x10). I played every other skill before finally giving up yesterday, and well, I’m clearing 20 pits ahead of my previous skill use and that’s without build fine tuning. The shotgun effect simply is too strong.

Then, there’s the issue of the other classes being way weaker.

I heard it. Right at the beginning I think

Given the patch notes come out in three days, that means the patch itself is almost entirely done. There wouldn’t be enough time for feedback.

With one, maybe two builds. Outside of that the rest of the builds are struggling to get past T3, sometimes even T2. T4 in its current state of scaling only makes sense with the power level caused by the spiritborn bugs. T3 and T4 could use a moderate nerf to their scaling to open them up to more builds. The devs said “T4 should be aspirational”, but for something to be aspirational it must first be inspirational, and I’m not exactly inspired by the state of things this season, especially the brick wall we hit with both aspects and gear progression regardless of Torment level.

There’s just a slight difference between “perfect balance” and “this class deals so much damage it makes literally everything else mathematically insignificant”, actually

They addressed SB first thing.

they are buffing everything so far. I get D3 flashbacks, we will end up with 20+ torment levels soon…

They are still buffing SB, unbelievable.

This … People are ignoring how the disparity is almost incalculably gigantic. I wouldn’t want to try to balance this either at this point.

BUFF QUILL VOLLEY!!!

Just for the luls.
