I am fine with quick nerf to unintended OP damages but no mid-patch to introduce buff unusable skills means you’re basically stuck with the same build the whole season.
They’ll (ideally) address builds quicker. So instead of waiting half of the season for an adjustment in one big patch, we get more immediate adjustments in one or more smaller patches.
This has been sorely needed.
I get why people wanted a mid-season buff, but at the same time, I’m ok with it being a quick fix for unintended bug interactions etc as needed early on. Because even with a mid-season patch, all builds just end up getting adjusted again the next season anyway. I’d rather they just focus on next season’s buffs, builds, and mechanics, and less on mid-season adjustments.
I think we are on the same page but on the chat they gave season 7 as an example but I did not see any significant movement on builds.
If they do make big moves earlier, sure, I am onboard with it. But if the change is insignificant like s7 then people will just stop playing after reaching whatever is their goal for the season.
Doing adjustments early in the season is great. If playing you’re class or build is eating turd sandwiches every day you shouldn’t have to do that for 1.5 months. Crap isn’t edible so Blizzard fixing that right away is good. Good for you Blizzard. Not making your players eat crap sandwiches for 1.5 months. A step in the right direction.
But they need to be aggressive with early season adjustments. Because as the OP said if they do not do so you are stuck for 3 months eating crap and turd sandwiches.
Don’t do that to your players. We don’t deserve that. We deserve REAL FOOD!!!
Doing adjustments in the first week or two is infinitely better than waiting for mid season.
By the time mid season comes around there is like what, 20% of the players remaining who started the season.
The change to stormhorn wasn’t insignificant. My build went from scraping through T4 to wading through corpses.
Everyone who plays an ARPG grinds until they have their fill, then quit until next season.
Who are these unicorns that return mid season to play an ARPG?
This is a great change.
We have already seen how they can “quickly” fix something. Why you think next season it will be different? From where your hope come from?
That’s one. Guess one change is enough.
