I completed Act 1 campaign and then invited a friend into the game who had not progressed in the campaign. They joined me, and then were unable to access or complete the campaign on their own, even after leaving my game and restarting. I am not sure this is a bug, but it does make multiplayer problematic, as people could potentially miss out on the story aspect.
