Aight, c’mon. We know for a fact the camera is capable of zooming out to proper Diablo distance, evidenced by world bosses and a handful of other encounters. Why the hell is this the one game where the maximum zoom you can initiate under normal circumstances is still barely anything?
What, is it to make sure the console peasants can play without their toasters overheating? Well worry not, because the PS5 has less trouble running the game than most high end PCs at the moment due to the God awful job ya’ll did of optimizing it. Thanks for the memory leak, btw.

It’s a mystery we haven’t solved yet. Some have scoured the horadric tomes and believe it may have something to do with encouraging mtx sales. By always being so zoomed in, people want to look cool. Ultimatley though, only Hell knows for certain.

Camera range is too limited for sure. It would also be nice to be able to zoom in on a character or NPC occasionally to see what they look like close up.

The amount of stashes in a zoomed out field of view would be game breaking.

It’s either a console thing, because console players sit further away from their screens than PC players, or it’s a cosmetic/store thing, since you can’t really see character outfits when it’s zoomed out as far as we all want.

I quit because of this after 3 hours on launch day.

When you zoom the camera out, the game needs to load the stash of everyone playing Overwatch 2. It was the only way of programming it. To prevent servers crashing, they can’t let players zoom out when they want to.

It’s not a memory leak. It’s just excessive memory usage. If you close the game, the memory is freed up.
You might be joking but I honestly believe that most of the inconvenience problem (QoL problem) in D4 is due to the weird stash implementation.
Wait you dont think making aspects stashable inventory items instead of putting them in a seperate UI is a great idea?
And then we got
Season 1: Season of more crap you need to stash.

I think the biggest sign the zoom is off is the how often I find myself having to check the mini map to figure out where a boss teleported to during a fight.

You mean the minimap isnt doing the trick?
I mean that given that most boss fights aren’t in very big rooms, I shouldn’t be losing them in the first place.

Yeah, this is rough. Game feels bad to play in so many aspects. Think itll be worth just shelving for a year or two and see if anything changes.
I’m not sure it’s a console thing really. D2R and D3 work just fine.
Sure, but those games don’t try to sell you skins. It’s probably a mix of both really.
Yeah, that’s what I think too.
Shelf is an option. Trash bin is another
you can’t really see character outfits when it’s zoomed out as far as we all want.
you can’t really see them when zoomed in completely either. I agree with OP; they need to tweak camera range for both zoomed in and zoomed out.
I like fighting stuff from the corner of my monitor though, it’s so immersive!

I like the zoom level while riding a horse and I wish we could have that.
