The level 5 heart is 0 enemies, the 4 is one enemy. 5 will always be on, 4 will be on when you get near a single enemy (so almost alwats on).
I noticed that to trigger even level 5 one (for the first time frankly) - you need engage in combat and after that aura stays till log off
I get confused about the malignant heart decrepify aura mechanics itself. Does the aura casting decrepify on nearby enemies OUTSIDE of the aura circle? Or only enemies that are actually in the aura are affected by the ability? The description makes it seem like it auto casts on every surrounding (screen) enemy. Yet the mechanics of the default skill indicate it needs to be cast upon an enemy.
I can’t tell since enemies move so quickly anyway, that the slow effect seems to be non existent.
Enemy actually have to be touched by your aura to be cursed but once they are - they have standard curse applied to them for that the duration of the skill. In other words - if you are turns into mist and move through big pack - entire pack get cursed
Oh I see thanks. For some reason I thought it was auto casting it on enemies outside of the aura. I’ve seen people say there is a visual indication of when they are cursed. I can’t tell.
Makes me wonder if the Revenge heart would be better for range builds (Bone Spear)
Depends what you are looking for … for min-max and 100% crits built - yes may be it worth it. I am also playing BS based built and for NM 41-50 I rather prefer have mist+curse as a panic button
So if you have the one one with 0 eniemies, that is the best right? so its constant i guess?
Yes, and level 5 hearts provide 300+ armor.
to add to this, the duration of the curse once an enemy is cursed (assuming he walks out of your aura) is the duration stated on the malignant heart, not the standard 10s as it says on the spell toolip on your skill tree.
If enemies stay in your curse aura they have effectively infinite duration.
