The one change I really wanted to see in the Sorc bug fixes and they still haven’t done it or even acknowledged it.
That passive has been broken since.beta, why the hell hasn’t it been fixed yet?! I was all excited to give Incinerate a go again, but without that fix it will still run dry far too quickly.
45% Mana Regen per nearby burning enemy is a lot of mana - or it would be if the darn skill actually worked!!!

7+ months it’s been broken.
What the actual F, do we need to pay Rax or Wudi to DM the devs for us or something? Like it hasn’t even been mentioned by them.

The constant mana issues with sorc is the main issues making me hesitant to play s2… all the other changes are great but since the cooldown nerf resources are a constant issue… even with 2 ring slots dedicated to mana gen its still a problem with some skills… you shouldn’t be having mana issues with a sorc at level 100.
There’s that new ring passive they added (I think it was new to S1?) that grants pyro skills a lucky hit chance to restore mana, but Incinerate only has a 6% proc coefficient or something silly like that so it’ll never trigger.
Sorc tends to be mana hungry in general, but fire is especially hungry and it’s super dumb when in D2, all the mana talents were in the fire tree.
You can proc the crap out of FO enchantment with incinerate so that would probably help some… but i hate the LH mana junk… theybneed flat mana on hit for casters and ranged builds
In my case what i usually do, is to look for mana cost reduction or resource generation on items. the downside is chnaging afixes is ridiculously pricey.
for fire sorcerer, I use wizards firewall, soul fire and fiery surge.
while used with resource generation and mana cost reduction afixes, your mana will be virtually infinite.
except Fiery Surge literally doesn’t work which is why I posted this.

Yeah it’s been broken since the first beta, it doesn’t do anything whatsoever and I cannot for the life of me understand why it hasn’t been fixed.
Then again it took them this long to fix the Hydra bug so maybe Fiery Surge is next hopefully?

Fiery Surge isn’t supposed to give mana regen per nearby enemy. It says you get regen after killing an enemy. I’m sure you probably know that and I haven’t played with it but I thought I’d throw it up here since I haven’t seen anyone else mention it.
If you answered to me, no I didn’t know and I didn’t used it for the simple reason that I gave up with sorc on S1 an switched to rog/Dru.
Now I’m just reading news to understand if sorc is viable again.
Isn’t that a whole 4.5 mana per seconds?
Working as intended… even if the intended functionality is completely not worth it…
My season 1 fire sorcerer, I never had mana problems.
I used mana cost reduction and resource generation afixes, So basically I had infinte mana to burn.
The only problem y to get those afixes, as I also had to wait for the perfect item to enchant.
enchantments are ridiculously pricey and until endgame you cant do anything about it.
as long as you get, mana/reesource generation, pyromancy skill damage, fire damage and damage over time afixes on your gear, your fire sorcerer will be invincible. even on PVP
