Burn out and not even paragon 300 yet

My friend and I are starting to feel the burnout. It feels like hitting 300 paragon is way too grindy and getting glyphs to 100 is also too grindy.

If there was more to do for us to reach max Paragon/Glyph, then cool, but there really is not.

One of my best friends just quit because of how bad his RNG has been with mythic drops. I have seen over 15 and he has seen 3. Getting items with 2-3 GA is almost impossible.

EDIT:
As mentioned below, it is definitely easier to get a mythic than it is a 2+ GA item.

Thats the point. I think you are one of the people that want to be fully geared in less than a week. If you get 1 character maxed out, when it moves to eternal at the end of the season, ALL your character on eternal will share that 300 points. So when you get to lvl 60 with another one, you can immediately work your boards.

The glyphs should never have been removed from nightmare dungeons to the pits. It is an awful way to level them if you have issues past pit 50 on your builds.

The drops are always horrible. They are extremely bad this season and launch with the DLC.

You have gotten 15 Mythics? Count your lucky stars because that number is unique. 3 weeks into the season and you are complaining about the drops? Season is 3 months long. If you want to get everything quick go play Call of Duty and hack your playing.

I’m pretty sure you don’t Have to get your paragon to 300 to enjoy the game in what ever content your trying to do.

About the mythic uniques , Range is Range…and there is no getting around that. This is the type of game Diablo is, and has been for years, why would it change?

The problem is once you’re around 250 paragon spamming pits like last season is your best option because leveling your glyphs at the same time is your only way to gain any more power. The ancestral drops you want aren’t happening. Now we just bang pits out endlessly. We can do the other activities but no gear upgrades are dropping so why bother? Buffing ancestral drop chance even if it’s only after paragon 250 would help this game TREMENDOUSLY.

too grinding, agree. Could have been a bit better.

RNG is rng, I just finished a 50x4 lesser boss + 50 duriel + Andy, total 14 uber.

Very lucky got 6, quite lucky got 4, unlucky got 3 and i got 1. and I supply all the mats. U tell me.

I’m finding the drop rate of useful 2GA+ legendaries to be even worse than mythics

The issue isn’t glyph XP moving to the pits, IMHO that was a great move because pits is all about speed and blasting whereas the NMD are about exploration and discovery/ The issue is they revived the idiotic Diablo 3 system of percentage gain. The old system of Glyph XP would have been perfectly fine in the pit. As eventually everyone could get their glyphs up to level whereas now most people will never see 100 glyphs. Which is a shame. The entire game is a shame now because they took too much inspiration from the failed D3 systems. Listen I know Blizzard isn’t known for innovating but they sure as hell have been great about integrating. All the devs had to do is look around the landscape and copied more of PoE and Last Epoch or hell copied more of D2 (although to be fair I wouldn’t enjoy it as I hate D2).

Thats very lucky in general. I have 300+ kills and only 2 crappy beserking mythics.

still 1 better than me.

Yeah but 3x the amount of kills

both are true.

I think everyone should take a break you have three months to get all the gear you want…. you don’t need to have everything in two weeks that’s absurd

Glyphs are insanely easy to level. I leveled a glyph from 1-100 in less than an hour today, and you only need 5 glyphs now.

I agree on the paragon, though. After 250 it becomes very, very, very slow. After 275 it gets even worse. 300 would be one hell of a grind.

the gameplay is a brain-dead-zombie kind a grinding for exp already.

those top pusher can try pit 120, like getting 9mil exp, and if bring a carry, exp becomes 18mil.

Maybe people dont want to play a singular game for 3 months. Some people play longer. Some people play less. Its not about the weeks. Its about the hours. If someone put in 100 hours in one week thats the same as if someone put in 100 hours in a month.

Maybe people want to move on to alts but dont feel finished enough on their main to do so yet. Maybe they dont want to invest 300 hours into a single character.

Maybe people feel bored af when you go 30 hours with not a single upgrade. There needs to be enough feel good moments for people to want to play games. There isn’t. Not even close to enough. Nobody but a masochist wants to grind 500 hours on a single character thats just going to get reset in 3 months.

This season is absolutely tragic. Blizzard being greedy as all hell.

I’m not going to give an exact figure on how long it should take to max a character, but D4’s monetization model – class-specific mtx outfits – lends itself to a system in which players should optimally get to level one build of every class, to maximize revenue.

If I just play a Sorc and spend my entire season on that Sorc, then I only buy the few cosmetics I like for Sorc. If I play Sorc, Sporn, Rogue, and Barb, then I buy all the cosmetics I like for all four of those classes.

Game should be designed to match its monetization.

The season has only been 2 weeks so far not 3.

The current system is unsustainable as it is. Ask your self are you really going to be willing to grind like this every season? Maybe getting one good item per week? I know that there is those of you who buy sell and trade But I’m not going to take that into consideration, Because a fair amount of us do not play trade simulator. Paragon leveling needs to be twice as fast it takes for ever to just go one level after level 230. Kinda hard to level glyphs if one has no points to put in. And then the drop rates. Horrid! Blizzard tuned drop rates for things like legendary runes around trade. I call Blizzard a traitor I (We) paid in full for this Game and now you tune drop rates so low that some people might feel forced to “BUY” items from shady people just to feel like they completed something. You Dev’s Have been Talking to the guys at Grinding Gear Because this game reeks of Gear oil. Stop listening to people who really only have their own best interest in mind. And Blizzard knows who they are.

I don’t know how long OP played this season but can we stop this x weeks into season nonsense. If you played 100h, killed hundreds of bosses, farming T4 easily, you’re more or less at a point most players will reach in a season.

So Yes not being geared up in 2 weeks may very well be a problem. You can not reliably assume to reach any point at the moment because drop rates are so freaking low you may not find that required item for tens of hours.

End game consists of same 4-5 activities you can do, most of which can be done in a couple of minutes. Well should be done in a couple of minutes to be “efficient”. How many thousands of times can you do them before burning out?
