All you have to do is search the forums here. People have been calling out the unintended effect for a while. Here’s just a few from a quick search. And if the fix is “breaking your build” oh well. FWIW my rogue is TB/poison. I’ll adjust.
It pains me to report this because this bug has been REALLY fun as a poison imbue rogue. Bursting venoms is proccing from any skills, imbued or not. It is even proccing from basic skills that cannot be imbued. It started after the most recent patch.
Video demonstrating the bug: Bursting Venoms bug - YouTube
I don’t cast poison imbue in the video, and I get a proc at the 8 second mark from forceful arrow, and one at the 30 second mark from a non-imbued rapid fire.
Happy to provide more info if…
Effect reads:
Lucky Hit: Critical Strikes with Poison Imbued Skills have up to a 10% chance to create a toxic pool that deals [907 - 1,134] Poisoning damage over 3 seconds to enemies within. While standing in the pool, your Poison Imbuement Skill has no Cooldown and no Charge limit.
Now what becomes immediately apparent when you use it, is that it doesn’t do anything like what the tooltip says. A 10% Lucky Hit, only on crits, and only on Poison Imbued Skills, would make this a very rare effec…
This aspect, which has 10% to create poison pools when you crit with poison imbued skills, will actually activate from various other sources (probably when crit). I’ve triple checked everty possible variant, but it is plainly visible on testing that it creates the pools without the use of any imbue skills. I don’t think this is overpowered actually, it works decent as it is. I think is best just to fix the description of the Aspecst, to match the proc chance reality.
