Bug with blighted corpse explosion and shadowdamage (Also blight)

Been seeing other users report this issue, decided to go a bit further.

As of now there are some glyphs and passives on the paragon board that don’t behave like they should, or flat out don’t work at all.

The two skills I tested (since I actually use those in my build) are Blight and Corpse Explosion with the blighted upgrade (change physical to shadow damage)

The thing problem/bug with those two skills are: when you take shadow damage, the first hit of blight increases, but also the shadow damage over time (2 part of the skill) increases aswell. Meaning that increased shadow damage both direct damage and damage over time. But when you look at Blighted corpse explosion, the damage doesn’t go up.

The second problem is that when you take increase shadow damage over time, the 2nd hit of blight (the pool left on the ground) doesn’t go up in numbers. Meaning any source of shadowdamage over time, has no effect on the second part of that skill. When looking at Blighted corpse explosion, it also doesn’t change the damage.

This was tested with the Scourge glyph (increased damage over time) and the Darkness glyph (increased shadow damage)

The only thing that scales Blighted Corpse Explosion, is physical damage, which is in direct conflict with the tooltip, clearly stating: corpse explosion changes into a Darkness skill and now deals shadow damage over time.

This means that any form of shadow damage over time actually does nothing for the shadowmancer builds. So that means that a good portion of the Wither paragon board is useless, that the Scourge rune is only good for it’s additional bonus effect, and the only way to directly increase Blighted corpse explosion is to get physical damage increase, which is dividing your dmg sources even more. Since physical doesn’t buff Blight.

Can’t post a link it seems, but screenshot are on imgur: h ttps://imgur.com/a/dTcwedI

Commenting for visibility, this is literally game-breaking for my build

Also commenting for visibility. It’s actually a serious problem for both Blight and Blighted corpse explosion. Neither of them are scaling at all from increased sources of damage over time, and blighted corpse explosion is stuck as a ‘physical’ tag and doesnt scale from increased shadow damage either. Therefore a large amount of % increased damage for shadowmancer is actually doing nothing right now.

Really hope they fix this, I managed to get a few changes on my paragon board to indirectly boost my blighted corpse explosion, but still, it’s missing so much dmg overall.

I have the bloodless scythe and it doesn’t turn the shadow to cold damage for my corpse explosions nor my decompose.

I have noticed this as well, and it has been talked about since, before season came out. Yet, blizzard has not even acknowledged this or mentioned it. It goes to show how much they care about balance. Shadow Necro is already in a bad spot damage wise, it can barely compete with the high DPS builds in the game, yet blizzard does not care to do a simple test and fix the issue.
