Bug Reporting In-Game Support

Why is there no ‘in-game support menu’ that offers players to immediately report a bug. WoW has this and it is used readily enough to bring immediate attention to issues that are detrimental to play but Diablo 4 does not have this option. It seems that other members have put this forward more than a year ago. A good quality of life implement here would be if Blizzard gave this serious thought and did everyone a favor by squashing bugs quicker through this type of in-game option.

Oddly enough it’s in the PTR, but not the main game. Don’t know why, they should just give us the button on the live servers.

This.

It baffles me that they don’t have this option in the main game. It’s such an easy way to get vital information free & fast.

Support tickets will literally redirect you to this forum - Most users don’t feel bothered and/or feel completely unheard.

And it truly feels like they get ignored over there lol. I don’t even believe Devs ever visit that place. Because I lurk the bug reports pretty extensively - and I see the same bugs & issues get reported over and over again but never fixed. Unbelievable

As bad as this may sound, the bug reports are usually scanned by the CM’s and then they send over an email with the details to the devs. The devs then put the bugs on a priority list.

So for example anything that’s causing crashing, stability problems, etc. is pretty much top priority. After that typically comes exploits that interrupt the game in some way, duping for example comes to mind, but there are others. Then finally you have everything else, which can range from a passive not working correctly, to a campaign quest not advancing.

Different teams also work on various bugs. Crashing/Stability issues is usually on the engineers with a little help from the programmers of the game. Duping can be a mix depending on how the dupe is performed. In game systems that aren’t working as intended, quest bugs, etc. would typically fall under the programmers.

Some bugs are obviously easier to fix than others and may be squished out the next time you see a patch though. So when you see something dumb like, ‘fixed a graphical glitch that made NPC hats tilt to the side’ it was more or less them just tweaking something real quick, but if left alone could cause other issues down the line depending on what they’re coming out with.

This isn’t to defend Blizzard mind you, just giving a perspective of how things work over there.
