BUG: PS5 - DIablo IV crashes when selecting "Create a New Character"

On the PS5 - whenever I attempt to create a new character, the screen goes blank for a few seconds then the application crashes. The PS5 crash report menu is then displayed. I have no issues playing on my previously created character. Attempting to create a new characted reliably crashes the app (I’ve tried five or six times).

Guys, I’ve tried reinstalling (delete the game and reinstalled it in a library) and it works well!

I had a similar issue. I logged into my first character. Played a bit. Left the game and created a new character with no issues.

Getting this issue suddenly. Had no problems day 1 and 2

Same issue here. Select new character and it just crashes. Also PS5 :roll_eyes:

Edit confirmed that logging in as another character then quitting to title is a work around!

Was working fine since launch :unamused:

Edit: Like someone else wrote: Logging in as a different character and backing out “fixed” it.

Having this problem. First 3 character were fine, can’t creat my 4th char.

Same for me. What a joke. This thread was created like 20 days ago and it’s still happening. I went off blizzard around panda land and still, many expansions and games later they still can’t get a single launch right. Diablo 3 was a mess, D4 years later still a mess.

Once a studio with a mighty reputation, now a predictable joke.
