I discovered a bugged interaction between the three elements mentioned in the title.
Requirements:
-Have a skill point in “Paranormal Blood Surge”
-Have a skill point in “Rathma’s Vigor” key passive
-Have a legendary item equiped with the “Blood-bathed” aspect
Recreation steps:
- Use Blood Surge while healthy to gain 5 stacks of “Paranormal Blood Surge”.
- Be healthy for 15 seconds to gain 15 stacks of “Rathma’s Vigor”.
- Use Blood Surge and hit at least 1 enemy with each of the 3 hits.
Expected result:
All 3 hits of Blood Surge are Overpowered because of “Paranormal Blood Surge”.
“Rathma’s Vigor” stacks do not get consumed.
Actual result:
All 3 hits of Blood Surge are Overpowered.
“Rathma’s Vigor” stacks get consumed by the third hit. (The extra hit from “Blood-bathed” aspect.)
Extra information:
-The third hit of Blood Surge (with the “Blood-bathed” aspect) is guaranteed to be overpowered due to “Paranormal Blood Surge” without the use of “Rathma’s Vigor”.
-Without the “Blood-bathed” aspect the stacks from “Rathma’s Vigor” are not consumed when using Blood Surge with 5 stacks of “Paranormal Blood Surge”
-It is the extra hit from the “Blood-bathed” aspect that consumes the stacks of “Rathma’s Vigor”. This can be seen in the timing when the stacks of “Rathma’s Vigor” are consumed.
-If the extra hit gained by the “Blood-bathed” aspect does not hit anything, the stacks of “Rathma’s Vigor” do not get consumed.
Side notes:
-Gaining a second nova on Blood Surge from the “Blood-bathed” aspect would have players expect to gain up to 2 stacks for “Paranormal Blood Surge” per usage, but that doesn’t happen.
-Gaining the 15th stack of “Rathma’s Vigor” during an ongoing multi-hit attack consumes the stacks and makes the remaining hits overpowered. Overpowered is generally triggered on skill usage, making all the hits of that skill overpowered. Consuming the stacks during an active skill is both counter-intuitive and bad quality of life.
