Vodmorqele does a great job of explaining this here:
what you donât like to 1.30x extra chance of getting a crit dodge or potion chug?
it is crazy how so many of these bugs get though. Wasnât activision supposed to be hiring 1k full time QA testers? What in the heck do these people do all day?
lol yeah! I was hoping to score more critical potion strikes and want my evades to crit as well, but everytime I cast WW, it consumes the buff instead, interrupting my crit potion pops and evades. Really frustrating!
Joking aside - I bring it up not to complain. QA and game development are extremely complex and itâs difficult to ensure everything is perfect. What I am hoping to do is raise awareness of this so it hopefully gets fixed in 1.1.1 or soon thereafter.
Hate to break it to you but it was choice not complexity. So many bugs and dead on arrival builds for barbs/sorcs is a clear tell of ship half baked product and fix later. The season wasnât impressive at all. 10 seconds delayed elite spawning that give lower xp than normal. They are inflating game time because they themselves know how half baked this game is. If you are having fun blasting with rouge (which they hope most do) you wouldnât care. I am worried it is following the same timeline/lifespan of D3 and game will only get good at itâs expansion when most of itâs player base has already left.
Let me remind you they told us they were ready to ship season 1. It was the most rushed job they could have done and are dealing with the aftermath still. There are so many qol this game needs even before focusing on seasons.
I saw the previews for 1.1.1 and it is sad. They are changing numbers on uniques when our board is bad, glyphs are bad, skills clunkier than a druids and their solution is to give us more âdmgâ. The whole illusion of choice aint even there with barbs. Leapquake and charge are completely dead, donât work as intended and simply do no damage. I am not asking for a competitive class I am asking for a functional one.
I agree! There are certainly many areas where the game can improve, QoL and otherwise. I for one am giving them the benefit of the doubt, however. No game is shipped without issues, esp in todayâs gaming landscape. I do have confidence that they will fix these issues over time. Apart from the 1.1.0 patch, they have been doing a tremendous job with communication. Iâm hopeful they will continue to listen to the community and responding accordingly.
