Necro essence regen was dookie as it was, why did you think it was a good idea to nerf it? Looks like I am swapping classes after I complete the the campaign.
swaps back to WT1 to make it faster.
It is a little annoying but still feels ok to me.
For better or worse they want every class using their generator skill a lot more. I wish generators werent so pathetically weak but Grim Harvest is still okay.
Which is precisely why I suspect we’re going to see more nerfs soon. Necromancers can still get by relying solely on corpse explosion for all their essence needs. I don’t even touch my builder unless things have gone so far south that I’m finding penguins.
It definitely didnt need a nerf. Like, thats just gonna force necros to eat more corpses for essence.

I really dont understand the insistence on spamming builder attacks that dont do anything to use spenders. Why dont builders annihilate the small trash mobs and then allow you to use Core skills etc on bigger targets?
Just feels forced and not very fun, especially when there are ARPGs out there that allow your builds to change the very function of your spenders often modifying the skill, dmg type, even allowing it to cost 0 mana.
Why is Bone Spear the only halfway decent skill we have in our arsenal? Never thought id be playing a Necromancer and focusing on crit dmg/chance to be able to dps reliably. This class needs some hard balance passes, and nerfing bone spear spec more just tomake everything feel equally bad is not the answer.
This game was, non-ironically, potentially designed by WoW devs. The Blizzard devs move around to different teams; the people who developed greater rifts for D3 went on to work on mythic+ for WoW.
WoW devs, these days, seem to have a fetish for class design in which you can occasionally do big damage, and then you’re stuck hitting about as hard as a cheap pellet gun. WoW can get away with this because it’s an MMO with 30+ buttons to press at any given time. An ARPG with only 6 buttons needs all the buttons to feel impactful.
Dude, why do they have to nerf stuff in this way? I got my build all together and I’m pushing hard content, and then randomly I log in one day and I have to turn the difficulty down because now I can’t generate enough to do enough damage. If necro is OP why not bring down the damage % on the problematic stuff, why do they have to nerf a generating ability by 50% and make it no longer functioning for builds? This reminds me of all the WoW xpacs where I had a ton of fun in the beginning and then they nerf the ever living hell out of my character so I just quit til the next xpac. Blizzard will sit there in their corporate meetings wondering why people stopped playing too when they nerf in such gameplay altering ways. I was trying to play the god damned game, and you made my character not works, so I need to just start a new one or play on the lowest difficulty setting 'til I can get some items for a different build?
