Bring Back 100% Dodge

So obviously Spiritborn looks insane and I am looking forward to it but if they’re going to give a class 100% dodge on evade and many ways to lower evade, why did Rogue lose the 100% dodge on coming out of stealth.

Spiritborn is about to have tons of dodge and block which is looking absolutely overpowered from what’s on their tree.

Eh, I don’t think its quite the same. That being said, I do think they should boost dodge overall. Imo, Dodge is going to fall off alot of builds if some of those new defensive tempers make it to live. Be a shame if dodge for Rogues only have like one season.

Out of curiosity, how so? To get stealth you often had to evade through a enemy affected by shadow imbuement. With Spiritborn it appears using Eagle skills will lower evade substantially but both are basically tied to evade. Its just interesting that they thought it was OP for Rogue and removed it but somehow just give it to Spiritborn on their tree while also giving them a 15% crit buff for dodging an attack. For Rogue you had to use 2 aspects to make this possible vs 3 skill points - I’m absolutely taking that passive on Spiritborn when I roll a poison setup.

Granted I think they added it to Spiritborn to make the class even more like Souls games, giving evade iframes basically, its going to be pretty good for shadow boss attacks Pit.

Because Concealment is near Spammable in alot of Preparation setup esp with changes to flickerstep. Also maybe i am reading it wrong but I thougt Spirirborn was getting dodge while evading which isnt a long interval.

Sure if you tun a full on exposure set up or more uniques. Same story for evade on Spiritborn, for example using thunder spike it appears the third strike can cooldown evade by 5 seconds and the unique staff lets you always use the 3rd strike. That’s pretty much perma evade/dodge when you need it.

So maybe they don’t give it 100% for Rogue but the downgrade to 15% is drastic in light of the new stuff Spiritborn appears to be getting. They also just get 30% dodge while moving or 25% hitting an elite. It’s just making a lot of the Rogue dodge upgrades like Agile look weak on paper so far.

I just don’t see Dodge while evading that big of a deal compared to several seconds of dodge while being able to use attacks.

In regards to Passives, I tentatively agree, if the argument is that “Gain 100% Dodge during Evade” should be added to a Passive like Rugged or Reactiive Defense. I say tentative because if things like Life% per Shroud or Second Wind Ranks make it into live untouched in Season 5, Rogue may have alot of defensive options already and may be enough. It’s why in alot of my builds I stopped caring about maxing out Dark Shroud as I am confident I could do Pit 150s with the defensive options I had available. I expect them to get nerfed though.

Fair enough but they have some skills that work while evading too. Also the basic has a node to cast it while dodging and a lot of the feather abilities (eagle spirit power, aspect of sky power, falling feathers etc) activate on evade and other eagle skills will be returning while you’re evading.

Yeah. Ideally, the exapnsion and new amount of skill points will be giving Rogues some good passives as well.

Honestly they need to rework a couple and make new passives, in some of my rogue builds I’m not even sure where I’d drop all the extra 11 skill points.
