Hey everyone,
Just back to D4 to try the season, and passing by these forums, i see many posts/people complaining about “brick this, brick that”, “i bricked this 3GA item”… sorry but…what’s “bricking” ??
When you use all your tempering attempts and got affixes that you dont need. This makes the item useless aka “bricked it”.
Soon there will be a new meme in teh intwerwebz. “You got brickrolled”
Basically when people temper items and they don’t get the rolls they want, they refer to the item as being “bricked”, i.e useless.
I haven’t managed to brick anything yet as a fully geared Sorc with almost all my gear having at least one GA.
The way I see it tempering and at least having a chance to get the exact affixes you want is better than just picking up items that have already been “bricked” by straight up drop RNG.
When you ‘brick’ an item it means it’s made worthless. So if you have a really great item, and you attempt to Temper on 2 more affixes to said item, but those affixes don’t work for your build you just ‘bricked’ that item.
Keep in mind when Tempering affixes onto an item you have a limited amount of rerolls. 5 to be exact (for ancestral items). So if you don’t get what you want within those 5 rerolls people consider that item to be useless.
I can haz golden brick for being 1st to answer? Pleaaaaaase?
Haha! Ok, thanks for the info!
I have been bricked😃
the house is almost done just need a few more bricks
I have stash full of bricks😎
Oh maaan better you dont know what that, especially bricking 3GA
To me having an item bricked is horrible,
But trying to temper and you keep getting the same Aspect you don’t want in a row 5x’s makes you want to throw your keyboard at the monitor.
Yeah, I bricked an item after getting Iron Maiden like five times in a row. It’s like ‘are you serious’
