Brent - “We are closely and consistently reading/listening to feedback”

That’s literally a lie. They’re saying that for marketing purposes only.

There is probably truth in what he says.

There is a big difference in reading/listening than actually doing something to fix or resolve it.

The can read and listen all day long. Till they DO something…… yea well that’s different. He gave a politicians answer.

Modern Blizzard needs no help from MS being an absolute clown show.

“We’ve been closely monitoring your feedback and based on that one guy who wants T5 we’re making boss fights 150% harder and decreasing time to escape mechanics to 0.000001 ms.”

To be fair, they didn’t say they were acting on any of that feedback.

I think Blizzard has been pretty clear about their intentions. Push for more money from cosmetics/battlepass while putting in the absolute minimum level of effort into actual gameplay.

It’s a sad time to be a diablo fan.

Plenty of “how much is this” questions could be asked on both sides of what is a debate, not a one sided community declaration.

Keep in mind there are millions of license holders. Noise by even dozens of people on either side of the debate or on any platform, be they validated participants or not depending on the platform, isn’t necessarily a representation of the community.

From my read of the discussion the issue is less about what some of the individual complaints are about and more point toward balance on lower outliers as other posts point to.

Here’s another one:

How much of this is about some people wanting to play D4 for two weeks and go back to their preferred titles for longer vs wanting to play it for longer?

You can ask relevant questions around this in the related topics and frequently the question is not answered.

And another:

How much is this the small percentage who are experiencing challenges and not liking that coming to speak up while the players enjoying the game are largely unrepresented because their time is spent playing the game rather than talking about it? (There’s millions of license holders)

Not saying what the answer is, just that the views of the community are not simple to determine just because there is a certain volume of discourse around the various interconnected topics.

The key here is to assume Gibson is a middle manager, not the boss of anything. If he were a boss, he’d probably feel responsible for such a statement & would try to make sure he could back it up convincingly… does anyone know if he elaborated?

Whenever these devs speak, it’s mealymouthed & vague. Someone who means it, would’ve followed up with ~5 concrete examples to prove that he at least checked to make sure that they’re “listening”. Otherwise it’s just a talking point, and what he’s really saying is “I recite talking points - I’m not in charge.”

Contrast to ‘Jonathan’ & ‘Mark’ when they speak, for context.

Feedback is probably mostly from internal testers, selective surveys, streamer-“partners” - in that order - and the rest of the sources combined (aka the entire Internet) is the scraps. I don’t hear anything in their PR that suggests otherwise.

It has been like this since the end of S0, we are already on second year since the game launched

lol they’ve disabled comments in their latest crappy Berserk video.

You still have the best ARPG of all times with up to date graphics, D2R. Go play that one.

I’m betting the turbo fanboys on here and reddit and sycophant streamers who want to stay in their good graces.

Just like tremendous politicians
Like never before seen

lol good joke. “up to date graphics”…a crappy AI filter with the same crappy ancient game underneath that can’t stand up to even a browser game from 2025.

Then you should be happy to have D4.

Because i think this will be the last Diablo game for consoles/PC and they will focus only on Mobile with Immortal and other releases there in the future.

Its not worth for Blizzard to spend so much resources on something that gives so little and gets trashed everyday.

If Diablo 4 didnt exist the IP would be more valuable as of today.
