Well done of Vessel of Hatred. Smooth gameplay after the rollout, enjoyed the story quite a bit (and look forward to what is next, soon?), the journey on gear feels much better, torment tiers feel good, and rewards for various activities feel great (except maybe mythics but I don’t need one for my build).

Overall, I’m in fair agreement with the OP, from my own gameplay experience with the patch myself.
That said, I can also see the problems many have been having, so while I’m pretty satisfied so far with the expansion and changes, I know many aren’t, or are having a very sour experience, and I feel for you.

100% agree. The game feels great. The gear feels meaningful.
Ignore the people complaining that they arent decked out in gear on Day 2 of the expansion.
havent started the boss ladder yet. i have only found 3 uniques. the first two were both soul brands and i thought blizz was trolling me. the. i got the weapon i needed so things got better. in torment 3 atm. will do boss run this weekend when my friends catch up and are ready for them
Im still working through the S6 campaign and it seems good so far. Ive had a few random disconnects but other than that Im enjoying it so far.
Btw - The SB feels a lot like the D3 Monk, which isnt really bad - loving the movement skills the SB has but Im no where near built yet and only level 39…
I brought the kindling.
And we still cannot target loot items on the ground with controller. You have to move your character and pray for auto-aim

My experience below:
The good: Boss ladder feels much better and the end game has more of a “flow” to it, keeping you sufficiently busy to upgrade your character with targeted tasks which do not feel like a waste of time of meaningless. Except Infernal Hordes, this has been turned into the least rewarding thing.
The bad: Balance is 2000% worse under their restructured difficulty system. You either play the meta build for your class or you do not go past Torment 2, gatekeeping even moderately strong builds barely after hitting 60. Also, spiritborn is just holding down right click in T4 and annihilating everything. You’re wasting your time playing literally any other class.
