Free stuff is great, but after only a couple weeks of it being out my money is now wasted? I don’t have a lot of money and I was happy to spend it on this cosmetic but now I paid to look like a million other people? It might seem petty to some but that is a huge waste to me now. It wouldn’t be so bad if it was a year down the road or something, that is how things work. But this? ugh

That isn’t even what the discussion is about. Leave that up to each person to decide what is worth purchasing to them. The problem is that they invalidated my purchase by making it free and causing me to literally waste money. Not in the subjective meaning of waste that you would want people to believe.
And I am not sure if you are just trolling or what, but you spent money on the Ultimate edition. You know that the extras are only cosmetic stuff? You literally spent money on cosmetics yourself?

I bought the ultimate edition because that was the only way to play the game on release, the discounted edition releasing on 6th of june was not appealing
I can’t give a single crap about cosmetics.
And yes, you are wasting your money if you buy cosmetics, it’s on you. And if they make them free, I don’t care about them either.
The only way i can care about cosmetics if they are received by an achievement in game that requires you to complete a task that is fairly difficult and shows that you played the game and you are decent at it. If you pay for it all i see is losers spending money on pixels in game.
your argument is so full of inconsistencies when you are willing to pay 30 extra bucks, if it was US, to play a video game when you wanted to. You have nothing to stand on to look down on how others spend their money haha

I am not supporting the “pay to play early”, but as a fan of the franchise and as someone who wanted to compete for top 1000 on hc, that’s the only way to go for it
And yes, you are right, they shouldn’t make something you paid for free a week later, but that doesn’t make it any better that you paid for it in first place

It is no big deal, I have no problem with people that think cosmetics are not a good purchase. I don’t spend a lot of money on it myself, but I love diablo as well, even though I don’t play as competitively as you seem to. I was gifted the game, so I had didn’t have a huge problem buying the horse pack that gave me some platinum and a few things to put some of my own money into a franchise I love.
I don’t really want to argue, and I don’t think your view is completely wrong, just maybe a little understanding goes a long way.
If you ever played any games in the last 5 years you would know, that cosmetics eventually become free or have no value, especially in blizzard games
So, this happening just 1-2 weeks after your purchase is just bad luck, but nothing new.
This is the main reasoning why you are throwing your money in a void when purchasing cosmetics.
Yes, there are exceptions, and if you are able to trade and sell the cosmetics, more power to you, go for the trading game and make money.
And yes, I purchased the pay to play early in order to compete, and I am not happy about it, but without leaderboards and any type of competition, this was the only thing driving me to play this crappy game, because that’s all that is once you reach wt4 it’s pretty obvious.
yeah, I don’t mind it going free, I just mind that it went free so soon. I would rather that they had given something unique to prime people.
I hope the new season gives you something more to enjoy the game with. I actually am very glad to see someone that is as passionate about the franchise as you seem to be. I hope things turn for the better. It has been done before.
I didn’t buy Ultimate and I didn’t buy any cosmetics, but you’re being pretty hypocritical. Both of those things encourage anti-consumer behavior, yet you’re okay with one and not the other. Do you want to be lectured about buying a 4-day head start?
To be fair, they arent creative enough to come up with new cosmetics anyway.
For Sorc there is a normal helmet skin called “Coven’s Cowl”, which you get from salvaging. There is also the so called “Heretic Ritual” Bundle for only 1400 Plat, which features the same skin called “Sacrifice Plume”.
Didnt bother looking at the other pieces of the armor if some might be reused, but in the end they make you pay for an already existing free skin in that bundle lol

Yeah, I am actually pretty disappointed in, at the very least, the prices of the skins. You are essentially paying between 15- 25 dollars for “alright” skins. I play druid and I don’t like any of them, much less the price for the ones I wouldn’t buy anyway. I do however like some of the rogue and sorc ones, but would never pay as much as they want for them.
This mount pack was only 800 platinum which I got from the horse pack.
Yeah but I blame the 3 or 4 tall boys I drank the night I made the online purchase 
But I’d generally never give so much money to blizzard. But it is BS that the purchase is invalidated like that. A lot of people probably already have Amazon prime anyway

yeah, that is why I consider it “free”. I can’t imagine anyone pays for prime just to get free prime gaming stuff on the regular. Like, maybe someone out there does?
