Diablo 4 has been going on for some time now. A open world, and alot of stuff to do, yet the game fells lonely to play. I cant jump into a dungeon with other random players, (like your feature in wow, looking for group, ore Diablo 3, where you have a group of 4 from the start, when entering public servers) without relying on my clanmates have the time, and are same level as I am. So mostly I run around alone, doing dungeons, alone… boring as hell.
There need to be a quick button a place where it says - quickjoin a random gruop for random dungeon / stronghold ore SOMETHING.

I feel that. It would be much better if a large group of people discovered Trade chat, but it’s hidden by default. Even “trolling in trade” would make the world feel less empty. Heck, I’d take Barrens chat at this point.

I wonder what would happen if the devs made a update that did nothing besides change the name of the trade chat to global chat. I bet more people would use it

No global chat or LFG is my number one reason for not liking d4. I hate single player games. I don’t buy single player games. I feel that I was mislead into playing a single player game simply because they won’t add these.
I can honestly say I wouldn’t have bought the game knowing it wouldn’t be added. But why on earth wouldn’t it be added. I feel like I bought a car without wheels the part to attach the wheels is there, they have a chat window and everything they just refuse to give them to me.

Interesting about the Trade chat, since I can’t trade Legendary, only Rare or less. The latter drops like candy, so why bother?
And once you reach Tier 3, Legendaries drop like candy too. So much so that we spend more time dealing with inventory limitations than playing, but aren’t tradeable even within the same group where they dropped, like in D3.
None of the Diablo games were any fun solo. I initially gave D1 a pass because it could not compare to single player games, which back then, was the Zelda, Final Fantasy, Ultima series, etc.
But a coworker convinced me to try it multiplayer, and it was surreal.
D4 can’t even compare to older single player action games like Skyrim and Horizon Zero Dawn, just as D1 couldn’t compare with Final Fantasy and others.
I started with about 8 other people, most of whom were former Diablo players, so just a friendly bump to this issue, and I can attest its a blast playing multiplayer.
Except for the inventory issues, which I need to deal with, but am tired of it, so posting here instead.
In HC I encounter a single player every 2-3 hours in open world. Only time I see a decent amount is if you hang outside of the meta dungeons where people are speed leveling.
Legion encounters are basically solo events.
Not sure how softcore numbers look

What kind of automatic matchmaking was there in D3?
Yeah I agree. They should do more to make the open world feel a little busier as far as other players go.
You either start a private game or choose join a game. You’d essentially set your world tier and hit join game. You’d then automatically join a game and be automatically grouped with other players on that same world tier. You could even filter on what kind of game to join. For example, if you wanted to do dungeon runs, you’d select dungeons and hit join - bam…within seconds, you’re in a group of 4 and ready to jump into a dungeon. Want to do world events? You’d select that and hit join. Bam, you’re with 3 other people in town ready to do world events. People could even drop out of the game and new players would join the game already in progress. It always essentially kept you with people to play - sometimes even forging friendships in the process.
At the very least, D4 needs to have a way to dynamically join other people doing nightmare sigil dungeons\helltides\tree of whispers.
Also, you should be able to enter your nightmare dungeon directly in town. The whole finding it on the map and running to it is getting tedious.

I use discord. But, it is not a substitute for proper systems in a brand new game in 2023. D4 is ridiculous. I don’t know how this project was green-lighted for publication.
Can these devs not literally copy/paste the chat code from D3 for goodness sake?
No LFG system, no dungeon finder, TERRIBLE.

I mean, they’re obviously quite proficient at that, so I guess they just didn’t think those would be good features.
D4 is like the opposite of what a good ARPG should be. Horrible mess of a game.
