So, as of the morning of Jan 14th, 2025, I was able to play diablo iv just fine. in midday, you guys updated something on battle.net and broke the entire install for me. The game would not launch giving me an error that a file was in use, etc. I followed the link, and the instructions. I tried to re-install Diablo IV after uninstalling it. It would not complete and would die around 20% in with the same file in use error. So, now I couldnt even get Diablo IV re-installed.
Next I removed battle.net and tried re-installing it. I got the same error at the end of the battle.net install, but it still ran. weirdly. So I tried to re-install Diablo IV and still got the same error: BLZBNTAGT00000854.
So, whatever changed in battle net has toasted my install, and here we are at the end of season with end game characters I cant even play…much less any game at all through battle.net.
