Blue items are useless past WT 1/2

Why do they even still drop?

After the campaign there isn’t a single use case for them. They are just clutter on the ground.

Really annoys me that there isn’t a use for them to be worth checking. At least in D2 you could make them into runewords so they had relevance. But in D4 they’re literally just clutter. Really hoping the devs find a way to utilize them or make them relevant in the future.

I pick them all up so i can make extra trips to town to sell them, its so much fun!

i wish i could check a few checkmarks somewhere in the options so only leggos/uniques/ancestrals show.

i do not need to see any non ancestral item anymore (except for leggos in case i want to extract)

Blue items are useless past about level 15 or 20. I don’t even know why white items exist at all.

Salvage them for parts or sell them, they’re meant to be vendor trash. If you don’t need those things, don’t pick them up? They don’t jump into your inventory.

Kek, blues are useless by dafault

I salvage them for mats for a while, then I just sell them for gold. More gold is always useful unless you have perfect gear.

I’m reasonably sure you can’t make a blue into a runeword in D2. You needed a normal for that.

Blues have been useless junk for decades, it’s practically tradition at this point.

you mean from the start ^^

They only drop for the salvage items you might need if you get a new item and havent been salvaging all game.

Also theres no loot filter so…why?

Oh my god, another one. So many complaints about this game are inherent in EVERY game made in this genre. Blue items are vendor, salvage, or, in some games, maybe useful if you can upgrade it to a rare. This is not news. This wasn’t news 10 years ago. Has anyone ever played other ARPGs?? Did they forget??

I dodge blues like I dodge damage pits now, it’s just baked into my playstyle.

I have played many arpgs my man. The point still stands, blue and white items serve no purpose. I love the game, just an observation

Really i should pick up and vendor for gold all the trash drops, granted I would rather have a loot filter.

No! they’re part of the terrain, dodge’em and pick up a rare later instead.

The time cost of picking up and selling a blue is simply not worth it.

In D2, all item tiers are potentially useful at all stages and levels of the game. Greys, whites, blues, yellows, thats one of the reasons why itemization in D2 is superior to any Diablo games including D4.

If I have the space and time, I’ll go around grabbing them and just selling for gold. It drops so often, it’s a quick and easy way to re-coop some gold back.

I know that once you get rares and legendaries in T1/T2 you are probably not going to need blues anymore but, you can still sell them or salvage them for materials you know.

Sometimes you can get a really good blue in earlier levels that can help you stack more +1 or +2 of something for fun.
