I tried out the easy 1-button blood surge necro builds from Mobalytics. Antony Evans build and the Omega Blood Surge build.
I doublechecked my gear, i have all required mythics, all sigils Lvl21, all aspect maxed out, the only thing i did not do yet is to temper all non mythic stuff to 12/12.
I tried a T7 horde few minutes ago. I had a hard time to kill the dessecrator at the beginning. I did not do enough damage to kill the elites quickly so it went bang boom bang and i was dead.
Is it really the 12/12 tempering that lets my damage go from 2mill crits to 158mill crits? Im totally clueless why i cant get the same damage numbers as shown in the vids.
That are builds that dont require a special skill rotation.
Tempering and masterworking make a huge difference. I tried blood surge but found in single target it feel really weak, so I came back to blood lance. Surge I did t7 easily exept the boss was very long and boring.
Lance boosted me to t8 with faster boss kill that surge in t7
Stop watching softcore noobs, who claim their build is immortal. If it was immortal, why would they play it on softcore?

Actually, there IS, an immortal build, litterally
I totally agree, there are alot of builds and also youtubers who states that build are OP and deal 1-2b dmg, its just fake or they hide something or was BUG that deals the amount of damage.
I also struggle to get high numbers, tried alot of builds and changed things for different build, still not getting close to their numbers. With blood surge build, the peak was 110m dmg overpowered crit, just can’t get more then this even though that this OP hit are so rare or procs when you get the 12 stacks. My life stat hits 75k with elixir, there are some who are getting 150k-200k and I’m so confused on how they get that number, double-triple of mine. Also can’t see in any guides showing the stats priority, found stacking Life does more damage then stacking INT, crit chance is enough 50-60% with 300-500 crit damage and more overpower, no matter how I change things in build, can’t kill PIT bosses fast enough under 100, spending more time like minutes to run around until get some luck to pop big damage and finish the boss but because of this gambling, you could die easely few times.
Another thing if they show their gear, They will have something like + 10 to a skill and of course the most perfect gear you will never hope to find. It’s all misleading and not at all realistic. Those youtuber builds are meant for whales. not us.
To get to 200k hp you need a doombringer, crit mw on all max life and max life%
Every hp node in your board.
Im currently sitting on 152k hp on my blood build. Can get higher if I triple crit my %life on the surge gloves or my mutilator plate
Btw my build let me switch between lance and surge easily (for aoe or single target, even if lance is doing ih8 super easy) Just have to swap 3 gear.
Blood Surge Necro was definitely one of the most fun builds I tried this season, and excellent for leveling. But the moment you try to farm T7s, yeah, it does hit a wall. Even after you masterwork all the gear, and can farm the mobs in T7 hordes - the boss fight is just extremely long. In the end, in terms of efficiency, I just ended up farming T8 hordes with rogue or sorc to upgrade the necro 
Having said that, I think lightning spear Sorc and Andariel rogue are outlier builds. Any other Sorc build or rogue will struggle at T8s as well. But necros just felt worse at T7 itself.
