Blizzards Big Fail

Most of my questions were answered, there’s no logic getting the early acces, those 4 days are meaningless, we have a month and a half or so to finish the campaign then leave that character dying because is not seasonal. Return to the game every 3 months to play a season, create your new character every season, lets name them “NecroS1,2,3,20, etc…” Dont forget to buy and complete your battlepass if not, all the time you invested in that season is meaningless. There’s no role-playing, i think Blizzard should change the genre of Diablo4 from RPG to just APG, that’s more accurate. PvP players, yes, you will have to play seasons if not, there’s going to be hard to find opponents.

They bring to us the same tedious system from D3 to D4, but now all is about seasons and feels like you are forced to play them if you really want to enjoy the game.

I would love to play seasons, get all the rewards and complete my battlepass without the feeling that everything what im doing is meaningless because when season ends, everything goes to the trash, included my character… Again, there’s no role sense.

I hope things gets better as the time is passing by…

If this is how you foresee your D4 gameplay experience then this game simply isn’t for you.

Find something else that would be worth your time.

Legitimately not worth your time if this is the mindset you’re jumping into D4 with. The name of the game is resets, whether it’s 1 month from now, 2 or 4.

If you’re hellbent on playing in the first place, like most of us, you’ll be able to get several characters to near max level and experience everything the game has to offer before Season 1 starts.

It’s not as bleak as you might think it is. You’re probably just projecting your distaste for the lack of Seasonal content right out of the gate - to which I would say, just enjoy the game first and get a feel for it the world we have not explored yet.

Just relax and enjoy the ride. :>

Incorrect D3 season characters go to non season after the season ends.

Correct.

You don’t have to. There’s no advantage sold. Free BP is where the more meaningfull stuff is.

Pure speculation. As far as i experienced it, on many forums, there will be a hefty amount of players not playing sesons.

It doesn’t. If you would have payed more attention, they said after seson everything earned will roll into non seson. Basicly everything you said was complete opposit of what was said in the live stream, your comprehensive skills need more honeing i guess.

I disagree. I would bet that eternal will be the hopping PvP realm honestly. It has always been like that in D2. Eternal is for min-maxing and seasons is for the journey. The only difference from D2 is seasons in D2 were just kind of random instead of being on a schedule so PvP could be established on the ladder realms.

Right now we do not have a rebirth system in D4 but will monitor feedback post launch.

No we don’t even have Rebirth for now, but even if we had, not really any different than just deleting and making a new char tbh.

Wow that info flew past through me.

You broke through the cecum!
In fact, the small mechanism of rebirth is just superfluous!

Just to reassure people, you didn’t delete the character, you just picked someone else to replace him, In fact, it has the same meaning as deleting!

The point is that it’s tedious and brokes all the role sense, having to create, name, customize, etc… A new character every 3 months, it’s supposed that you are that character in Sanctuary, so being forced to replace that character makes you think, well wtf am i doing. The idea is wrong.

I get why some people are skeptical of seasons and having to restart so often.

My plans are just to see how it goes, and if each season isn’t bringing enough new stuff or a different enough feeling to where it seems like every 3 months I’m just restarting over again and doing what feels like the exact same thing each time with no real reward worth the time investment, then I’ll simply just move on from the game and pop back in every couple seasons to see what’s changed.

Clearly Blizzard doesn’t feel like they have enough content in the game currently for the average player to continue past 12 weeks without getting bored. Which is fine, but if I’m restarting after 12 weeks, it better be worth my time as far as rewards and gameplay changes go

Not at all. Even without seasons the game has a clear end and isn’t indefinite progression like an MMO. The time invested in a character that has a clear end(completely maxed out) isn’t wasted time.

People coming to D4 need to accept this most basic premise that the game has a clear end to character progression and isn’t indefinite progression.

When you sprint to the “endgame”, passing all the people moving at a walk. Arrive sweating, at the end, and realize you are done, and quit.
The people walking have loads more time to enjoy the game. Dare I say, have loads more enjoyment of the game?

Some people just want to actually play the game.

Can you name a non-mmo that does? I saw someone in another thread say Elden Ring, but then go on to talk about starting new characters to increase their playtime… which is what you’ll be doing in new seasons in Diablo 4 so that seemed moot
