Blizzardo, Please

Long time player, first time poster.

I searched the forums to see if any of this was previously discussed and stumbled across this older post that honestly had a lot of great ideas and got no love.

I’d like to contribute the following:

*Saving Preset Builds

-Not much to say on this other than D3 had a pretty good implementation. If they do plan to lower the level cap/rework paragons and skills this might be the time to sneak this in. Could have it be right from the wardrobes as a separate tab.

*** Guild/Clan Hall**

-Storage: The community is always looking for more ways to share/store items. What if there was a clan vault or armory where you could store older items as you get upgrades? You could level up the storage through gold, challenges, or some kind of clan-based seasonal feats. Maybe a certain pool of items could be clan-bound instead of just account bound.

  • Location/Unlock: There’s honestly a lot of great locations the hall in question could exist on map. Maybe have it be a selection of any one of the 15 strongholds you clear out, or even a new static instanced location entirely. I think having it be some sort of early/mid-game quest would definitely help give a sense of accomplishment.

-Implementation: The hall could consist of a series of grid-like “rooms” that you’d unlock up to a cap, where you could choose a rough layout. Then in each room/section, could devote gold/mats to “hire” your own personal NPCs (and now followers) and create your own customizable town hub. Each room you could even decorate with items you could unlock through various means. Maybe an area to display some trophies you’ve earned in game. Could even have like an outdoor “farm” area where you could buy plants/rocks that generate you clickable herbs/ore resources every so often.

Point being; lots of potential for collectors, would give a late game gold sink, something everyone in a clan could help work towards regardless of level, and help create more of a sense of actual community/a virtual space to just “hang out” in between the grinds.

I think with both the additions of followers, and now raids in Vessel of Hatred, this would be the perfect era to maybe start implementing some of these ideas. Could be a pipe dream, but I really think there’s a lot of potential here/the previous members post. I’m hopeful this could maybe be D4’s “Reaper of Souls” era.

Armory yes.

The rest of that… don’t care.

Fair enough hah. Never a bad idea to share some items with the bros.

I’d like guild halls to be able to create teleports to legions, world boss, ladder bosses, and end game boss rooms.

Maybe when the guild accumulates a certain large number of boss kills, they get to build a portal to that boss’s location.

Also guild storage vault where members deposit things to share with guildies.

Also also, some sort of trophies that celebrate guild members’ achievements - fastest to 100, most boss kills, highest pit, most mythics, etc, that would reset each season.

Exactly what I’m saying, there’s a lot of untapped potential and quality of life to be had. Awesome ideas.

I have been in 4 different clans. They are all the same - no one ever talks to one another, no one ever responds to requests or offers to help, they never do anything as a clan. Bring back the grouping feature from Diablo 3 !!!

Clans just feel like this stagnant silent partnership, and unless they’re people you know IRL that’s really all they ever are. Doesn’t need to go full WoW or Destiny, but maybe something to create more community/keep you coming back outside of the eternal grind.

This is how clans in every game have felt to me. Either the clan is a silent partner, or they cater to the base who are friends IRL and the rest are just there to pad the clan numbers.

I was especially guilty of this back in D3. There’s some other ARPGs and MMOs that have similar things implemented, but doing that in a way to maybe recapture some of that D2 Blizz chat “Andy Run” era.
