Boost eternal too. Stop with your insane greed and properly boost eternal realm too. Some of us don’t play seasons and never will. We will leave if nothing changes!

especially considering you might be 1 of 12 people playing eternal. no one cares about eternal. its all about seasonal in arpg’s. choose a different genre if you dont like it

In what way? The XP boost to the seasonal thing? Well eternal does not have it so there’s no 1:1 correlation. Sorry, Diablo has gone the way of seasons > eternal in most cases.
There are people on Eternal. I was finishing my Sorc to 100 there and oddly enough there are people playing on it. WB last night had 6 or 7 in the group, this morning was 4.

It has nothing to do with greed. Seasonal themes are temporary things. Some things might get added to eternal after its been tested and if it fits. There are ppl who play eternal because they dislike having themes.

The criticism and feedback, they (Blizzard) can take. That’s part of a business model and why they’re making changes to the game. Making other people feel unwelcomed because you don’t share their viewpoint or playstyle… I don’t think they favor that.

Season 1 came out too soon to truly kill the eternal realm off. Too many people that are still too invested in their eternal chars to jump ship that quickly. That’s why I’ve also said it never really made sense to launch season 1 only 1.5 months after release.

Eternal is a very very very small population. Only reason its somewhat decent on diablo 2 is because of pvp and trophy items.
Here I am waiting on one now on Eternal there are 8 people including myself waiting on Avarice
Nah people still play on it. Usually late comers who bought the game mid season will just play Eternal till the next season.

i dont understand why ppl are hardstuck eternal…for what? Just play season. Theres new content and its free. Eternal is a graveyard and even going on 100 there makes no sense, for what?
stop now it is a dead system, eternal is a graveyard for items and character’s you’ll never play again.
Eternal doesnt make maximum profit. Same goes for me i am not interested in seasons, maybe when maxed all chars on Eternal.
The name Diablo has been destroyed if you ask me, by d3 and now d4. Such a shame and only due greed.

I dont get why bother going to new content if u didnt min max all chars. I kinda feel like hardcore fanbase just wants the above. While ppl who started diablo by playing d3 or never was into d2 grindfest find seasons more fun because they dont enjoy the foundation of d1/d2.

Eternal and Seasonal are pretty much identical except for some XP boosts and the malignant hearts.
Seasonal progress will be carrying over from previous seasons/eternal soon, so you wont have to start over every season.
You don’t have to buy the battlepass. You can just progress the free track organically if you like.
There is literally no reason to be playing eternal and pretty much all of the gripes with seasonal play have been addressed.
The only ones still hating on seasonal play are people that haven’t bothered to keep up to date or people that have never played seasonal and have no idea what it is.

the biggest problem of that system is it walled off the other player base and deprive them of “all” new content. instead of allowing them of some of that new content.
standard works well in PoE, it is eternal here. standard works in there b/c it have a functioning economy and sometimes have same content as the new league/season, it at least let them have the mechanics and new changes. it have that social aspect too. the new league is in there for new players as a catch up mechanic and as a way to have an exclusive introduction to new items etc, unlike here u don’t have “legal” way to transfer item from new season to eternal, in there they have legal way, through sacrificing a hardcore character carrying items back down to standard.
I mean, a system they could implement is to have seasonal mechanics be available to Eternal realm AFTER the Season ends. The duration will be until the next season ends. So, when S2 starts, Eternal gets 3mo of S1 and when S3 starts, Eternal gets 3mo of S2. Gives players an extra option but I do understand that this may ‘cheapen’ underperforming seasons by splitting players into Eternal. Also, some season mechanics that modify equipment like the malignant hearts may need their own dedicated instances and it will be too much work to modify Eternal and port all the data across.

Or hear me out, they could not charge for the seasonal content on a game you already paid for…
