Blizzard Sorc here with quite optimised gear. Just defeated tormented Lord Zir and now I m already struggling which unique to craft as soon I have 4 RS - if at all. I also have godslayer crown.
I know there is a lot of discussion in forums wether to use Shako or Godslayer crown on a Blizzard (ice spike proc) build as BIS item. Some guides prefer shako, some GSC, some a normal helm with e.g. snowguard aspect on it. Whats your opinion on this? Alternativeley, neither craft Shako nor GSC, but craft a RoSS instead? I m currently using Tal Rashas Ring and Blue Rose.
Next, I read a lot of guides regarding the enchantment slots, active skills on skill bar and tempering rolls on gear for a blizzard sorc. Question: is it recommended to temper the " * X% chance for another Lightning Spear on Cast" on let´s say the offhand focus, while already using the “Enhanced Lightning Spear” skill? Does that mean, there is a chance to cast 3 LS?
Just my lil opinion but I never and would never use Godslayer. Basically, any unique that has a mandatory cooldown of it’s basic function is a HARD no for me.
-A sorc is at their peak power when they are pushing ahead in their progress and an item that can only proc X times in Y is a NO.
-When following an online build, keep in mind that they need to show a few seconds clip where they hit mad DPS. Personally, I would rather my build have sustain and be able to ALWAYS do mad damage in a sustainable way. I am not content with moments where my stuff is on cool down and I’m twiddling my thumbs.

Regarding the LS question, on mobalytics is a build (“Blizzard - King of the North”)- just for reference (it is not my build). Using the conjuration augments temper “* X% chance for another Lightning Spear on Cast”.
One important thing to mention is that the lightning spear enchantment only works when absorbing crackling energy. If your build has no sources to spawning them (which i guess blizzard sorc builds hasn’t), i’d advise you against using LS enchant.

Regarding the temper “* X% chance for another Lightning Spear on Cast”:
I just checked and it is called “+X% chance for a second lightning spear wehn cast”.
This does not make any sense to me, because with the enhanced lightning spear skill, you already have 2 LS. So what´s the use of this temper? I just checked on the training doll: You do NOT get 3 LS when using this temper. Is this a bug? Wondering why some guides use this temper…
But that´s akward that you managed to summon 3 LS with the temper and the enhanced LS skill. Maybe I do need more testing, to finally proc it…
According to the naming “+X% chance for a second lightning spear when cast” you literally should not get a third LS because you already have two…
I have the same dilemma with my Triple GA Godslayer. In general I love Godslayer. In general, I feel it gives me more power. However Shako provides better defense plus that 4 ranks which also improves your Defensive skills plus your primary skills.
If you decide to move to Shako, you have to consider the lost stat points from GA. You could easily lose some rare nodes on your 5th or 6th board. So be ready to move around.
I lost like 40% Vuln dmage and some stuff after I switched from GA to Shako, so I did feel the lost of power but in exchange I was more tenacious. Then I realized I could move some Paragon points. Now I got that 40% Vuln back, so I am fine.
