Already at this point time, I think Blizzard should consider selling the Diablo IP to someone else.
It’s obvious to anyone, even outside the company, that they no longer know or care enough to make good games, the Blizzard stamp means nothing anymore.
They would make one final huge chunk of money, without doing any actual hard work, in true Blizzard fashion.
And in the end, someone else will give it a go to make an actual good Diablo game.
The real problem with the game is the entire web of systems interweaved together, that either don’t make sense, are too complex or convoluted, or are unfair by design.
If the game as a whole would have been a great ,fun, enjoyable experience from level 1 all the way to level 100 and beyond, no one would have given as much of a crap regarding the cosmetics or the battlepass.
However that is not the case, and all those little things add up to one big pile of trash, that’s why people lash out on the forums with rants and posts about any random aspect of the game, because they’re fed up, they can’t take more of this company’s crap, from the massive nerfs to the tone deaf answers by the dev team.
I don’t wish for the game to die in any way, I truly want it to be great, to become the vision they sold us in all those devblogs in the years prior to release, but I don’t see Blizzard ever being able to deliver on a strong vision, they lost the people that made great games and they lost their way.
Wish the industry would finally realize that you can make an excellent game and still make a ton of money off the customers, and everyone’s happy, the shareholders are happy with their fat stacks and the players are happy with a fun experience they will cherish for years to come.
