Please can you add an armory in Diablo4 where you can save current builds and swap builds instead of making a new character?
“we’ll add it to the road map”
I don’t get it. what does that supposed to mean?
When adding to the roadmap, it means it will be brought into the game as part of their plans (perhaps during a season *) for Diablo IV.
(*) they mentioned in their July 7th dev talk that if some seasonal mechanics are well-liked or just fit very well that they can look into adding it permanently into the game.
It means that it will probably never happen.
They said they are looking into it.
Maybe season 72 we’ll get that
They don’t want to do that. I don’t think they ever said they were even looking at that…they said they may make respec easier, but overall they are happy with the price to respec. They are not going to remove the cost.
However, they will probably start selling the Scroll of Amnesia in the premium shop (my feeling). But that basically means that you would have to either use a scroll or spend 14 million (at level 100) to change your build. I think this makes it not possible to implement the armory. Either they make respec free and introduce and armory, or they keep a high respec cost so you would buy the scroll. I’m leaning towards they will keep the respec cost high and sell the scroll.
They should have armory sets in the game. Just add a gold cost when you switch between them. As of right now one of the biggest end game activities is trying new builds.
Its like when Chief Wiggum tells Homer he wll write it in his invisible typewriter
This would be too good of a change for Blizzard to do it, specially soon, maybe for Season 4?
The cost isnt really the issue, and the scroll just wipes the points invested
What we need is a way to SAVE the builds, so we can try new ones without having to resort to taking screenshots of our previous ones, in the year 2023… taking SCREENSHOTS
I would be fine with an armory even if the price stays
I’m in 100%. The Armory was popular in D3, so why dump it?
Every inconvenience is there for a reason. The solution will be your credit card.
Armory in D3 was terrible.
Please dont.
Bump!
But I guess I understand and forgive if they try to improve the crappy itemization first.
But that shouldn’t be hard… Except that their game engine seems crappy and inflexible - the most obvious show case of that is the performance issue preventing adding more stash tabs!
Bump again…people really don’t want to sit there for 20 minutes every time they switch specs to re-build their paragon boards. Especially if you LIKE the rotation of a few specific specs and are using the exact same setup, essentially rebuilding the same 2-3 things over and over when you get bored of a build. That was the beauty of D3 armory, still need to maintain those builds/sets as things change, but switching a few things around vs. re-doing entire paragon boards is way easier.
I hope they stop listen to D3 community, bc that is definitely buries them! We can see how much number of them is, where ingame you see nobody… Also no other self-respect arpg bring such features for a reason! What they should focus more is - more fun leveling experience and more low level uniques and legendaries, so that creating alts is fun experience! Arpgs should never focus on end levels only!
This is likely one of the sales pitch for xpack
Sounds great, why hasn’t this been mentioned before?
Impossible. Imagine loading not only every single person’s stash but also his saved profiles for every build. The amount of memory required to load them could rival NSA’s servers.
