Blizzard needs to decide what they want D4 to be

You are re-making core changes every season .

For 2 years you cant decide if this game wants to be slow paced with no gear or fast paced with gear. I am fine with either , just decide already…This isn’t early access…

That’s why we have copy-paste re-skinned season , 8 seasons in a row.

You’ve proven D4 is only ATM $$ printing machine.

You figured out whatever you do , people will buy your skins and battle passes, that’s why you stopped caring about D4 and abandoned it.

NEVER have i EVER seen a company that caress less about their game.

What you did to D4 is nothing but insolence , insult to playerbase who keep supporting you .

You need to fire person who came running to Blizzard after ruining other franchise , and hire someone who actually cares about Diablo game.

I could go for Chris Metzen but he went back to Warcraft.

I personally prefer Diablo IV to be fast-paced with gear progression rather than slow and grind-heavy. Seasons like Season 7 and Season of Blood have already proven that this style makes the game much more engaging and fun. The excitement of earning powerful gear while keeping up with the action is what makes Diablo IV feel truly rewarding. I hope Blizzard realizes this and commits to a more consistent direction.

I agree that d4 needs to stick to a lane finally really.

Personally, i hope its going to be the increased difficulty lane. But even if it isnt, no biggie, many other games out there.

Blizzard has already decided what D4 is - you included it there in your post. That is very obviously their only real priority with the game.

The environment just needs to be appropriately balanced against the wanderer for it to be worthwhile pursuing that powerful gear.

When the wanderer is barely developed and smashes everything bar high pit as it was in s7, the system isn’t working.

At that point there isn’t a great deal of motivation for the power chase.

I’m formulating my view of s8 still, so have held back getting into detail on this one so far.

I’ve noticed I’m accumulating a range of views, many of them positive in nature, but I still have some questions I want to answer for myself before forming a cohesive view.

I do not spend money on the shop or the BP. But others do not seem to have an issue with it.
I always see them in town decked out with the over the top cosmetics.

Two issues at play here.

First, is you mistakenly see D4 as a game. D4 leadership has never considered it a game. It’s not about the product, just making the quick sale and disappearing. They market to the uninformed consumer.

Second, They decided what they want D4 to be before it was released. Mr. Mediocrity came out and said they want it to be another D:I but non-mobile gamers would not support it. It is obvious they are turning it into D4:I slowly one cash grab at a time.
