Inarius (It’s funny that autocorrected too Ignatius), isn’t trustworthy. Lilith has never illustrated any kind of deception or hatred of us. She has her motives, but doesn’t distain us like Inarius. At least you know what you’re getting with her.
Yeah, except for the fact Inarius wants to wipe humanity and Sanctuary out and rewrite the sin he committed so he can be welcomed back to heaven, other then that, there is no problem right?
Not to mention that Lilith is Mephisto’s daughter. I used to moat trick Meph all day and loot him. So gullable; trying to hit me from across the moat where he couldn’t even get in range. Too dumb to just walk around. So he just stood there moving left and right, completely baffled by the situation.
I mean if she has those genes, she won’t be too hard to keep in line.
During D3 most Primes where caught and stuffed into the black soulstone that later got Absorbed by Malthael the deranged angel of Wisdom, who we then beat and all them souls he absorbed where set free, so in that time during the chaos, he somehow managed to escape his hellish imprisonment and came to Sancturay, and as the story goes there was a following of Inarius and a following of Lilith in the olden days, while the following of Lilith stayed hidden until now the followers of Inarius have been pretty much in the open this whole time, there is also the Triune the crazy folk that followed the Prime Evils, that we might get more intimate with throughout the campaign.
I think it would be hard for the triune to start back up right now without inarius or lilith destroying them though
I also seen a picture in inarius temple where you meet him,
Of Cathedral of Light warriors standing over the corpses and shields of zakarum.
I think he finished them off or judging by the rogue reveal trailer, The zakarum is probably still corrupt, IDK why the priest would be collecting ears through a rogue.
That’s the key to a good story, it draws you in and and makes you speculate on outcomes, and hopefully it will surprise us in the end with a really wonderful twist. =)
I don’t mean this to be a subtle bash, but this is the first story that I’ve been intrigued by from Blizzard. I mean I still want a way to skip choreographed dialogue and maybe just watch it all later in a video or something, but the story itself is pretty darn good.
I do agree the campaignhas been great so far, Would have liked some more of rathma as casual players still dont really understand who he is and whats hes about “balance” and about mendeln who formed the priests of rathma
In the years that followed, Mendeln founded the [Priests of Rathma] which would be known as “Necromancers.” He began to teach others his skills and impart his understanding of the Balance
Perhaps more about him for new players in the future
In the first one the story is centered around the first son of King Leoric, as he comes back to Tristram after being away, he comes back to find the place in ruin, he fights his way to Diablo and beats him, and when he does, he sees his younger brothers was used as the conduit body for Diablo, he then gets the brilliant idea of imprisoning diablo within himself, thus thrusting the Soulstone into his own head.
in D2 we are following in the wake of the same poor son, but his struggle with Diablo is not going so well, and he eventually loses and Diablo takes over and frees the other 2 primes Mephisto and Baal.
In D3 we find out Adria and Diablo had done some sexy time and Leah was born, and she was meant to be used to help resurrect Diablo in her body, all planed long time ago, and Adria had dropped her off at some place and Deckard Cain took her in.
I just can’t give it to Diablo 3. I mean there’s some interesting concepts to it, I’ll certainly give it that, but I couldn’t do the story. Diablo 2 had a fine story, but more because it was just a lore and not an actual narrative besides some basic things. I guess this is the first Blizzard game I’ve played where there is an actual story happening in real time that is captivating.
Wow’s, I can’t even remotely find interest. In fact it just actively annoys me.
And Diablo 1, of course was good but again, it was another game that was more about a lore and not an active story going on that was very involved.
D3 gets a lot flack, but it had a lot of it’s story in books that drop from different places, where it introduced us to the Angiris Council and the top players there, same with the Prime Evils of hell, also gives us the backstory of Inarius and Lilith and some of Eternal Conflict.
WoW, died for me when they snuffed us of an Epic fight with Sargeras the Corrupt Titan, I had been looking forward to that since the beginning, but they made Illidan some god level being and sent him into the Titan home world to be in an eternal gladiator pit fighting Sargeras. I got so pissed I stopped playing the game and never looked back.
D3 was packed full with lore tidbits from books around the world and i really enjoyed those elements, I also thought the campaign was kinda cool but i felt like they were a little lazy with some things, ESPECIALLY CAINS DEATH
“There was a cinematic of tyrael and leah at his grave” lul pls.
Sadly i didnt get to play classic diablo 3 and experience the campaign how it was i only played in RoS
For real imagine a really good 3min cinematic of cains death, it wouldve been great imo.
I play Destiny 2, and that game is insane with hidden lore tidbits and all kinds of puzzles to solve, I love it. I wish they would add stuff like that into D4 over time, hidden puzzles to open up Dungeons or extract new lore.
By the way, you remember the D4 cinematic they released with Lorath at a grave talking to some dead guy, I think that was at Deckard Cains grave, if this is true I really wanna find that grave in the game.
