Blizzard hates the druid

Why do all classes in Diablo look good, but the druid is fat and ugly? I can’t play a class where the appearance spoils the fun of the game. Blizzard sends the druid to sports training and on a diet so that the druid can compete visually with other classes.
Overweight is unhealthy, and exploring the world of sanktuario should not result in a heart attack.

Not only this. There is always a new unique helm that is awesome and would be greate to use on Druid builds… guess what? Most good builds are forced to use the trash Druid helms with terrible stats to make builds work. It’s almost like to be forced to wear no helmet to get the spect benefits. So far I think it’s realy possible that Blizz hates Druides but I’m not certain.

In addition the Druid needs to generate spirit.

Sounds like your fat-phobic

I’m fed up with how much they hate Druids.

My favorite class.

They utterly destroyed Stormslide build. The ONLY actually fun, powerful build for Druids in this game.

But Spiritborn are just literal wrecking balls and that’s fine…with nature powers…

You see, the druids operate on survival of the fittest like all animals. As such, when a litter of druids are born, the larger druids eat the smaller ones, strengthening them to endure the coming winter with layers of blubber.

I would like to have a concrete answer on this too. Once again the class is thrown to the ground. There is no decent leveling of blizzard, they simply cannot make the druid competitive against other classes (I’m not even going to talk about the spiritborn here). Classes dropping 100+ and the druid struggling to get past 90. If that’s the case, remove him from the game’s story or simply learn from other competing games about character leveling. The druid NEEDS an effective change in skills and passives, reformulation of spiritual bonuses, more intense resource generation… applause for the terrible work of the class team (if there is one). Sad!!! R I P Druid

All the classes look ugly. It’s the art style for 4 like how 3 had a more vibrant art style for the world.

Here’s a serious and well documented phenomenon:

It is proven that things that are aesthetically pleasing will cause them to be taken care of better than things that are not. Take buildings for example; look at the beauty of the buildings we strive to protect, and the ugliness of buildings we neglect. Was it the neglect that made them ugly? Turns out it wasn’t. They were aesthetically unpleasant from the get go and so we never cared about them.

The Druid, regardless of how “well intentioned and inclusive” the developers wanted to pretend they were, is to the vast majority of the population (the devs included) aesthetically unpleasant… and so they don’t get very much upkeep/attention. The maintenance of the class falls behind all the others REALLY quickly.

We can all pretend like looks don’t matter, but that’s just hogwash. We are predisposed to appreciate beauty for very important and fundamental reasons. Make something ugly and watch it decay from neglect.

EDIT: Don’t believe me? Feeling argumentative and defensive about the topic? Go make a painting/drawing of random scribbles, then make one where you put effort into making it look good. Lmk which one ends up on your wall and which one collects dust in the corner of your room until you decide to begrudgingly toss it out because you now know I’m correct.

Well there is a “big boy” fetish. If they intend to keep the druid in its current appearance, then they need to hire more people with that in search history…

Gay bears are a thing. but I’m sure there’s some women in to big boys too.

I had the same gripe originally, but you can make them look pretty good imo:

Im a larger dude. Similar stature, less gut. Been a weightlifter since my early 20s, and let me tell you… at 40 years old i feel like a piece of meat. Never had that issue in my 20s.

Ill do an event where im making colognes and perfumes (im a perfumer and own my own fragrance and soap company ), and i get hit on all the time. So yes, the fetish is real.

Personally i dig the druid. I normally have to play dwarves.

the game wants to be incluuuusive and druids drew the short straw on who is the token fat class. Giving you a choice? lol no, you’d just choose to not be fat. here, we forced it onto you. we’re big on individuality and giving you a choice, but we’re afraid you’d take the wrong choice.

In Season 0, the druid was nerfed pretty well and hasn’t recovered since. He was forgotten about in all subsequent seasons.
Bring back the permanent unstoppability under Grizzly Rage. This ult was strong because there was no cap on critical damage. It’s not clear why it was necessary to touch the only source of unstoppability that can’t be knocked down on the druid.
Do something about the poison element. It can’t be multiplied in any way. The legendary node in the paragon with tentacles could be redone.

They had to nerf it to give it to Spiritborn. Numerous ways to be perma unstoppable or unhindered without aspects. Can scale infinite crit dmg fairly easy too. Seems to be the main reason why, I can’t imagine they didn’t realize some of these combos would lead to the same outcome from S1 on Druid.

Druids have the typical strong man build, the biggest issue is that they’re too wide. If they reduced the wideness by 30% and it being in line more with the barb they’d look good in many items.

Druids are fat and ugly because they want players like you to be able to have representation.
